Uma, these were all done with acrylics - mostly Liquitex.

Canal du Midi is a bit cropped - there are actually a few more trees on the right (I will try to take a better photo). This is an actual place I used to frequent with a dear friend. Her husband had a boat; many happy memories there. He passed away suddenly just over a year ago - I painted this for her just after, but she was not ready to recieve it yet. Maybe soon. It is one of my favorites, too!

Their faces are very expressive and there's plenty of motion in them. They do not seem static and it's as if they about to move at any second.
I feel like Sri Yukteswar looks like a teacher about to reprehend his pupil, that look in his eyes. ^_^

Because your painting looks like Summer is transitioning into Autumn in which Summer is coming to it's rest and Autumn is beginning to "Blaze" in the season's pinnacle of the shedding of the leaves of nature's most vibrant colors...

Ha ha - thanks, Wolfgaze - that's encouraging. :biggrin: No time soon, methinks, as some years ago friends encouraged me to put up prints for sale, but nobody bought! Lol! Generally I keep whatever I paint for a little while, then give the painting away to whomever seems to want it. That's fun, too - intuiting or discovering a painting's 'forever home'. :smile:

DelSol these are lovely. I especially enjoy the way you captured the life in the eyes of the woman in Bliss. I am a novice artist at this point and have found papermaking to be quite relaxing:) Keep making great work!

Thank you paperfairy! When I was young - LONG before the internet! - I was a letter writer, meaning I took great pleasure in handwriting beautiful letters to distant friends and family. It was a true hobby. During one of my first trips to France (there have been many since) I stumbled upon a mill that made luxury papers, with actual dried flower petals embedded in the pulp! Too beautiful! That is when I developed a passion for handmade paper, cottened paper - paper made with love. It is a definite art form - hope you will share some of your creations, here. You will find an instant admirer in me!
