This is something that is really valuable in terms of being happy.
You can try to be or act a certain way...
Or you can see the long list of characters that your ego wants to hold onto and ultimately be...
And separate yourself from any of these images...
Because although it may seem that you are this person or that person...you are neither. You may have thought of this image, but it is not you.

Yes we are the never ending flow of the divine, but its fun to play dressups. And dressing up in Divinty is creation at its best...

That's why it's important to keep a sense of humour.

Not sure what you're trying to say here. Up until the last line, fair enough, a fairly unevolved spiritual awareness. But the last line didn't make sense unless you're summarising your earlier statements. Most people have wannabes, social wish lists and stuff and they're usually aware that they aren't these things.
But one or more of these "images" might appeal; it might seem apposite for a person, so one starts to affirm, to steer oneself towards it. Could turn out later to be unachievable or inappropriate and the person may have to adjust their aim with possibly some degree of disappointment. Could be they reach their aim or some part of it, and the process starts again.
So the only sense in your last line is to point out the obvious really - you know you aren't the thing you crave to be...

Or if we want to line things up even more so with each other, regarding the line thingy majiggy thing
"You know you aren't the thing you crave to be"-Lorelyn
Or maybe "You know you are the thing you crave to be, but what might that thing be that your craving?"
"Symbolism, damn that symbolism, it always rears its head one way or another"
