I am so tired of watching the news. I am so tired of beeing told that is important to watch news and to know what´s going on in this world.
I just want to stop watching tv. So much negativism around this news.
Only terrorism or politics that they speak of.
It´s only to make us prisioners of fear.
I don´t believe that all the news are 100% truth i believe 100% of the news are fake.
I am just so tired.
I don´t live alone, i have to cope.
I don´t want to spend all day in my room.
Even the sound of the tv makes me confuse i just get headaches from it.
I prefer watching movies the ones without violence, listenning to music, or reading a good book.
Do you guys feel the same?
I don´t know if this is the right section to post it.

I work the whole day from morning to night. Only listening to music the whole time without tv show in work place. I watch tv a bit at night before sleep.
I like reading news rarely read about politic news though. Usually about tech, health and any interesting news in net.
I would love to spend all day in my room though at day off. But rarely do it.

The news is just a story, which is aimed at certain people or promoting certain agenda's! people no longer critically think for themselves no more, because of the news or media. (Movies, and what not are fine! but the news is the worst thing ever! its very smart and ingenious the way you can't discuss certain on this forum! well done).....
Its like that game, i used to play back in the mid 90's as a kid called....(Lemmings) for the mega drive, in this game you had to save (The Lemmings) who where unable to critically think for themselves! that's mankind in a nutshell, i am not stating that i am 100% different! but i am certainly not a lemming.
My older brother used to love this game (Lemmings!) i was not that fond of it. As i was not that good at playing the game, and found it very frustrating...hahahah!
One day when it was my turn on the computer, i took the console pad off my brother.....and i just let all of (the Lemmings) walk to their demise! my brother tried to grab the console pad off me saying (That's not how you play the game! he was in allot of distress)........
And i just calmly told him that....(This is how i am playing the game, even though it broke my heart).
Moral to the story is, if you let somebody else critically think for you! and lead you all the time indiscriminately (You could so easily be lead to your demise, that's tough love).
That's why in my opinion spirituality is so important, because it forces people critically & creatively think for themselves about allot of things in life. Its good practice, good training!...

We don't watch tv anymore. We have tv shows available, but even then, we only watch for entertainment and nothing related to "current events".

I used to play that game Mind Power, kind of boring but it's a good observation you made off.
Yes you're right news are just Storys. I don't believe in the news. And i don't believe in terrorists attacks also you can call me crazy but i don't think it's 100% true.

It was boring yes...
The worlds full of stories, the only problem is! the mainstream news is just telling it from one perspective, and that is by design.
Ultimately everything is a distraction in this society, its like they want to keep us in this Darwinism fight or flight state of being! where you can't think creatively or critically! you just react with anger or sadness.
Because once we relax, chill out and have time to think creatively and critically for ourselves! allot of things would become much more clearer! society in my opinion would become allot more productive!
But its a shame we have to fight to, reach this state of being! which is our natural state and divine right.
But that's part of the fight.

These days, information is all managed. The networks show only one or two stories all hour, to cut production costs. Anxiety and Ain't It Awful sells, and boots ratings. Information is managed from its source to the finished product on TV media.

I watch the news from time to time and I agree, it's the most boring thing out there...watching paint dry is more entertaining.
In half an hour there will be a story related to terrorism in one part of the world or another, a story relating to China's military or economic situation, a story relating to high-level corruption at an official level, a story about a politician making a speech on tax or environmental reform somewhere, a story about what Vladimir Putin is up to, a story about interest rates and the position of the Federal Reserve and a story about wild weather in one part of the country or another...day in..year out.

I tend to keep up with current affairs when there's time but I read around several news outlets ranging from the leftard twits to the hard right. Europe and by extension the UK are in a bad way at the moment thanks to a certain mad woman politician. It's depressing, sorrowing when I read what ordinary people are being put through with no say in what's foisted on them. They have no redress of grievance. It's people at every level and its the upper levels that are destroying the lives (i.e. their cultures, their values) of the lower levels in the power game.
One suspects madness or some weird and sinister plot.
I don't like it any more than most people here though I'm concerned for my own future. Having a fatalistic and usually cynical view of life helps. I have no intention of trying to escape it. It still seems better to be forewarned and forearmed. The world is hopelessly unstable wherever you look and I smell war on the horizon. There'll almost certainly be civil war in parts of Europe - the signs are very soon.
Let's face it, we're all just fodder to a political elite. Little better than serfs serving their needs. So.... have fun while you can!
Not nice but one might as well be realistic.

Being realistic is a disease, and the worlds biggest killer/suppressor Lorelyen. Martin Luther King was not realistic, Nelson Mandela was not realistic, Jesus was not realistic, or even Elvis....
So Lets not face it! how many of the elite is there, compared to the masses. Check the statistics and history, it is the masses that fight all the wars and build all the cities around the world! because we are the only ones who can do it! not the elite or royalty.
And if people individual continue to act like those (lemmings) from the game for the Sega Mega Drive in the mid-90's (Which i mention before!) only then can people truly be political fodder for the elite.
But i guess its a individual choice people make, ether they want to grow spirituality and critically think for themselves in accordance with cosmic law or whatever! because this is not just about going mental after-all.
Does not sound easy, but might aswell be optimistic.

Paris Attacks and the CA attack. They ring every drop of "Ain't Awful" out of them, Then Fear Monger the **** out of them, then attach political spin about Obama's failed policy and lack of leadership, followed up with a few sound bites from Donald Trump.

I unplugged from cable 2 years ago. It was the commercials that bothered me. I don't like being programmed and I resented paying to be programmed. TV shows you can change the channel but commercials not as easily.
I feel much better since. I'm really careful what I watch on netflicks too. I'm off Facebook a few weeks now and that has cut down on what my mind is forced to see too. All these entertainment forms to me distract me from seeing my true being and plant little seeds that confuse the worlds drives and desires with mine.
Best for me to avoid it. Hope you find it as freeing as I have.

Very good!
Well i am happy that it has hit you in this way, and yes! it truly is mankind's greatest strength, it is our greatest trait! above everything else! and that's why it is exploited in movies.....
Again quoting another movie (Just to make a analogy for people), its why Captain Kirk would always some way beat Spock (With his logical superior intellect). Captain Kirk would beat him because he always Hoped, and he was Unrealistic (He was Human!) that was the difference between their personalities morally!
And sometimes in life as (real history) has proven, sometimes that's the difference between living and dying! winning and losing! your dreams coming true or not! and one day it will be the difference that creates a better world! because we just didn't give up!
Its not easy (Life is hard), but we all have this ability!

Yes? One has to eat, one has to shelter so to avoid offending the demi-elite (!) one has to work and engage with others. Unfortunately, many - well, a good few of my countryfolk live with their heads in the clouds and can't see what's coming. Tell the people in various European towns now under threat to avoid realistic (did you read about the one in Geldermalsen? There's a nice reality they'd like not to face!)?
So Lets not face it! how many of the elite is there, compared to the masses. Check the statistics and history, it is the masses that fight all the wars and build all the cities around the world! because we are the only ones who can do it! not the elite or royalty.
Unfortunately for you and me, they're the ones who control the resources; they also control the agenda. That's being realistic. What can the ordinary German do against a mad politician hell-bent on wrecking Europe if unable to rule it?
Yes, you're right - that elite make the messes then send our young and fit to clear them up. Not nice but that's a fact, a touch of realistic.
And if people individual continue to act like those (lemmings) from the game for the Sega Mega Drive in the mid-90's (Which i mention before!) only then can people truly be political fodder for the elite.
Unfortunately we aren't allowed to discuss politics - probably just as well - but aren't we talking about social conditioning here?
But i guess its a individual choice people make, ether they want to grow spirituality and critically think for themselves in accordance with cosmic law or whatever! because this is not just about going mental after-all.

A broad topic. You see, it's easy talking the kind of spirituality people here want to adhere to. They're allowed that because of Christendom, the freedoms and emancipations it gave us. But it isn't the only current. In some cultures that consider themselves spiritual, discussions like these would brand someone an apostate with fairly nasty consequences. Even a German leader from 70 years ago considered himself spiritual.
You can be optimistic and realistic. I'm both. I have to work. And I like to play.
By the way, I did say I'm interested in current affairs rather than just news - and I'll add "international". One TV channel or press outlet is inadequate to keep informed (as best as one can). Every outlet edits and censors... Having insufficient time is a problem!

I agree totally with this sentiment. Just replace UK with US and I could have written it.
I understand not wanting to get bogged down in "the news" but avoiding current events completely is the epitome of sticking your head in the sand. You CAN be informed and even get a good idea of what is going on if you want to. It takes more work today but at the same time we have more resources to do it. If you care to, you can. It's totally fine if you don't care to. I couldn't blame anybody for not being interested. If it isn't your thing it isn't your thing.
I haven't watched any TV for a few months now and I do feel like I get major events just a little bit slower than people who do but that doesn't bother me.

I am not disagreeing with what you are saying here totally but..? What I am saying is that in life, you cannot be too realistic all the time! You can’t be all doom and gloom all the time Loreylen!
Of course we have to have one foot in the system! You know to eat, shelter ourselves! And maybe you might like to buy yourself a nice dress or something, and i might want to buy myself a nice suit.
So yes I understand these things.....haha!
But if you can find that time in the day, if you can find that loop hole in the system to be unrealistic then! You do it! And it’s not going to be easy! People died during the civil right's movement in America, people are dying all the time for daring to be unrealistic! I never said it was going to be easy!
People can make choices, people can just not comply. It’s is truly as simply as that, but like I stated before! That might come with sacrifices and danger, and obviously it starts from the bottom and up! It is the masses that vote for these politicians so it’s their fault in some ways, I don’t vote!
Unfortunately we aren't allowed to discuss politics - probably just as well - but aren't we talking about social conditioning here?
I am talking about (Being a Lemming), not being able to critically think for yourself! In coherence with true human nature! And just accepting what they are told all the time from authority (People are obsessed with authority). Of course this is not about rebelling or being mental! It’s about improving yourself enough so we can lead ourselves.
(I think it is wise and ingenious that we can't discuss politics to deeply, for numerous reasons).
A broad topic. You see, it's easy talking the kind of spirituality people here want to adhere to. They're allowed that because of Christendom, the freedoms and emancipations it gave us. I understand all of that, and yes we have to be realistic to survive in the system. But you have to be optimistic & unrealistic to change the system or even your life sometimes! History has proven this. And it’s never going to be that easy, I just feel like you was predicting our doom and gloom! And being too sullen here, we are still in the game! And there is still everything to play for. But yes of course, we have to be both optimistic and realistic! All authority can’t just disappear now, because not everybody is aspiring to be the best they can be spirituality or whatever.
I just think that within this particular environment and topic! you did not have to be so doom and gloom.
But i guess that is your style sometimes.
And you have given some really good input. (I will end it like that, on a good note).

The thing is the news is part of the program. It's part of taming you and making you believe you have no power. You talking like the inevitable is inevitable shows you are being effected to some degree. Nothing is inevitable if we realize we can't be controlled.
I keep saying this but our beliefs are what limit us. I know what is going on in a general scale. I however prefer to keep it in generalities because I already know most of the worlds population are just slaves. I won't willfully indoctrinate myself further into fear and slavery. Everyone is different this is just what I have learned works to help me become more free.
I've actually spoken to a few people affiliated with the big 6 families. They are extremely well to do and they confirm all my theories in hushed voices so no one else hears. The key for me at least is keeping their programming out of my subconscious. I know it's just a matter of time before some of us break through all the limiting beliefs and realize how truly free we are. Once we know we cannot be controlled we won't be controlled.
The one in particular I got the most info out of associated with the big six. He was born many generations ago into that inner circle. He doesn't have to stay out of the programming stream because he has seen it first hand and can't be fooled. His strength comes from watching everything, knowing every detail of what truly is happening. We all make our way the best we can.
Anyways that isn't to say you watching is wrong but rather to say it isn't about having our head in the sand. It's about knowing enough to know what is good for us. Maybe you are one of those who can straight out avoid the fearmongering taking hold. Just be careful not letting your mind except limit you don't want. :)

That was my point. And...we all have the same brain. The only people who cant think for themselves are the ones who allow others to think for them. I don't think there are as many of those people as we sometimes tend to think. How's that for obscene optimism?

I haven't owned a tv set since it went digital. I recently got a month free Netflix, but after a while, there's nothing new, so I decided to cancel before they started to charge me. I watch free Hulu shows sometimes. I've got a nice little collection of movies and the Simpsons and I get free movies on DVD from my public library. I am so tired of watching the news.
I haven't sat down to watch the news for over 10 years now. I wasn't really a news watcher to begin with, but I did make it a point to keep up on stuff.
I think for me things changed after 9/11. I saw with my own eyes things on TV that showed the news channels fabricating things and covering stuff up.
And then there were the Armageddonists that started going nuts about the end of the world. I was a church-goer at the time and saw a half-empty church turn into a standing-room-only church in no time. It went back to normal of course after things died down.
But anyways, I got sick of all the negativity myself and the nuts around me saying I had to keep up with it all so I could be properly fearful. I get my news from people. You're going to run into people through the day that have kept up with things and they'll drop bits and pieces here and there. That's all I need.
There's a term for this, it's called an information diet.
Focus your time and energy on what is important to making you happy in life.
Think about it, how many terrorist victims had a heads up beforehand? None. So keeping up with the news would have done nothing to help them. And if you're traveling to another country all you have to do is keep up with - not the news - but with government sites that tell of known problem areas.
There. Now you're as safe as anyone else. And no fear. And you have plenty of time to devote to family and hobbies and whatever else you enjoy.

That's how I do it too. There really is only so much news you NEED.

I do not have a tv, so the only time I get to see it, when somebody else watches it in their house, and I happen to be there. People get hypnotized within minutes when they watch, and I rather hypnotize myself, when I choose to put information into my subconscious that I choose to.
