I have become very very sensitive. I can't watch or hear any bad news. Even on movies and TV soaps if they show anything tragic I shut the TV. Why am I suddenly being so sensitive?

Perhaps you're being empathetic towards everything which is going on and you're tuning into EVERYONE's emotions and it's overwhelming you. Imagine raising a barrier orb around yourself and black orbs floating away from your body being replaced by white orbs. The black being everyone elses emotions and the white being your own. Hope this helps = )

Maybe you had enough of those "Ain't It Awful" TV news stories. TV networks put those kind of stories on because they sell, thus improving ratings.

I am also fairly sensitive to things. I personally believe it has something with the heart's desire for the light increasing. I'm sure it's different for every individual though.

When you begin to feel your own feelings more it makes perfect sense that you would then react to the pain of others more. Its even harder now that the public world seems to be desensitizing, and the media has to push emotion even harder to get a reaction for ratings or to sell products. But realize that that sensitivity is actually a strength, and try to find those around you who can tap into that as well. We are more often then not, bombarded with emotionally charged signals and it is up to us to try and manage that. So develop some quick ways to center yourself when something is bothering you. I choose to watch different programs and entertain myself in different ways than I used to, because I am developing a more open heart. Sometimes it can be difficult, but it is one thing that opens the door to more compassion and understanding and that is a marvelous trait.

If you have been experiencing spiritual growth/awakening in your life - it is natural for an individual to go through a period of experiencing enhanced sensitivity. In this context, this degree of sensitivity and feelings of vulnerability will not be your new 'normal', it's more like a transitory phase and you navigate your way through it and onto a more stable 'base state' soon enough....

I have become very very sensitive. I can't watch or hear any bad news. Even on movies and TV soaps if they show anything tragic I shut the TV. Why am I suddenly being so sensitive? The same thing is happening to me and it's not only just the media/tv.
I have mild autism, so I've always been very sensitive to things, and over the past 6 months, it's getting much worse.
Gone are the days when I could eat a hamburger and french fries, or a hot dog, or ramen noodles, or pizza, or drink soda.
Now they don't even make it as far as my stomach.
Gone are the days when I could wear perfume, make-up, light incense, use bleach or any other cleaning products or even smoke a cigarette...
Now, anything I can smell, gives me a migraine and makes me nauseous.
Gone are the days when I could wear synthetic clothing or even use any commercial washing powder.
I also have to get other people to put petrol and oil in my car and I can't spray fly spray.
...and my sensitive hearing will make me wake from deep sleep if a fly is flying around in the room - it's like I can even hear them walk on walls...
Not to mention all the 'electronic pollution' my TV, PC, Phone etc causes.
At the moment, I am suffering through yet another psoriasis outbreak all over my face and scalp, my IBS and Fibromyalgia is flaring up and I wake up every morning feeling so bilious and seedy, dry reaching when I brush my teeth and I've had CFS for the past 2 weeks.
Not to mention all those things you are going through...I don't watch the news anymore because it makes me cry....it makes me angry...it makes me depressed for days.
Movies don't make me upset, because they are fictional, but I don't have an interest in watching movies anyway.
I wish I could live in an unpolluted world *sigh*.
