I was wondering if anyone has any insight or can relate to what I experienced last night.

I have had ringing in my ears to some degree for about a week now although it had simmered down to a sort of whistle. But yesterday evening it increased in intensity so that I was aware of a buzz or drone in one year and a distinct sound almost like a distant TV in another. It sounded like voices but it was too unclear to make out.

Anyway, I decided to tune into the noise by focussing right upon it. As I did the noise spread across both ears and then my entire head began to vibrate, especially around my third eye. I also felt a breeze across my head and face but the most notable feeling was the vibration all over.

I finally managed to go to sleep and then I woke up around 2am with the buzzing sound in my ears even louder. I opened my eyes and saw, to my astonishment, a vision appear on the wall beside my bed. This has never happened before and it absolutely wasn't a dream. I pressed down on my hand (which was under my chin) to show myself it wasn't, while repeating to myself over and over that I wasn't dreaming. I did that to remind myself as I knew I'd question it this morning.

My vision was like a movie. It showed two people, a man and woman who I didn't know, walking down a country lane. I carried on watching and the scene changed to them getting on a plane which was just sitting on the grass. The whole thing was very weird.

I finally went back to sleep and then woke to firstly see an eye in my line of vision. Unlike the first vision, I saw this with my eyes shut. Then it changed and I saw a moving vision consisting of jungle animals that looked like cartoons. I know it sounds like a dream but it definitely wasn't - I remember my eyes being shut and witnessing it very clearly.

I don't believe these visions were actually of real people, spirit or otherwise, due to the nature of them, but I know they were connected to the buzzing and noises in my ears. I think they most be sort of hallucinations brought on by my raised vibrations (and my vibrations were clearly EXTREMELY high compared to normal with what I was feeling) but I don't know why I experienced them. I think it must be similar to what people on drugs or with epilepsy get and so there is little barrier between spiritual experience and hallucinations.

Has anyone else had this sort of thing and/or can shed any light? :hug3:

I wish I could help, but firstly am very concerned about your well being of course...is it lucid dreaming? People talk about it on the forum, but I myself haven't ever had it that I'm aware of. That's what it sort of sounds like to me. I don't fully understand the 3rd eye thing, although I do occasionally massage or rub my 3rd eye area when I'm putting moisturizer on and thinking it will help develop it, although I'm totally unsure about the whole chakra thing anyway...is the sound you hear in your ears painful in any way?

Silvergirl I'm fine, trust me..there is nothing mentally or physically wrong! I think this is all linked to my spiritual awakening symptoms but am curious as to who has experienced visions and why they might happen. No the sound in my ears isn't painful. Please trust me, I am not ill, I really am hearing things.

I didn't mean it that way, lol. People can have stuff like this happen and it can be very disconcerting, and just feeling protective is all. Psychic and/or spiritual phenomenon can be upsetting and sometimes scary. I've had tinnitis or ringing in my ears and it can be very high pitched and that's sort of painful, luckily it's rare.

It seems like the "cleaner" I become, the more these things happen. If you are fearless, keep exploring. I have these sensations 24/7, and attachments that I can see with the eyes shut. In waking life, my vision is horrible, but in that mode it is way better than 2020, its like laser 5 dimensional clear.

I really have no advice. I have met alot of people who have not had these experiences either. The first time I became aware of it I awoken with my sleep mask on, and could see everything in the room, then it faded to black when i realized i had a mask on. Xray vision!

I feel that in this state, you can learn the difference between, spirits, thought forms, your own subconcious, memories, remote viewing....next time direct your attention to a place, or get your faraway friends to create a target of a symbol or word in black marker and leave it out for you to see remotely...

It is in this world, there are clearer distinctions between "your" mind, and connection to other levels and abilities. It has certainly taught me much. Also, I became ALOT more sensitive to energy, which has not been so fun. But if you are getting the ringing often, you must be able to stay alot higher that i am. I have to will that to happen...I am still amongst the low and dark. Just my 2c.

Thanks guys. Just did some searching and I think its linked to my Kundalini experiences:

Kundalini Energy (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fkundalini-energy.html)

By admin (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fauthor%2Fadmin%2F) in All Articles (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fcategory%2Fall-articles)

What Is Kundalini Energy?
It is the energy of your being which sits at the base of your spine, in the root chakra. It wakes up when you start meditating (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fmeditation-benefits.html), visualising or doing other spiritual activities.
http://www.personal-development-coach.net/image-files/seven-chakras.jpg
Right before this energy is activated, people usually dream of serpents or goddesses which are the signs of this energy. Some people don’t dream about such symbols but they see them in their everyday lives, for example they come across pictures of serpents.
When activated, kundalini energy starts going up your chakras (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fseven-chakras.html) till it reaches the crown chakra and when it goes through the crown chakra the person becomes enlightened.
This energy can either be awakened unnaturally by gurus and meditation experts or it naturally awakens when the person develops spiritually. When the awakening of this energy is rushed it can cause serious problems (these are listed in the “The Dangers of Kundalini Energy” (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fkundalini-energy.html%23kundalini) section).
Before You Decide To Awaken Kundalini Energy…
If you are emotionally weak and you still have fear inside you, it can be really dangerous to awaken this energy. So if this is the case with you, you should strengthen your nervous system and gain better understanding of yourself (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fhigher-self.html).
It is very advisable that if you decide to awaken this energy, you should do so together with a spiritual leader or a meditation expert. Such people know the dangers of this energy and they know how to control it. They will pace your development and advise you if you need to slow down or progress quicker.
Why People Choose To Awaken Kundalini Energy
It is said that the awakening of this energy is the only way to become enlightened and experience bliss. When this energy goes through your crown chakra, you become aware of your connection with the entire universe and therefore understand the truth. You attain the divine wisdom and your consciousness expands infinitely.
When the energy is released into the universe, you completely understand yourself and your purpose. You become filled with joy (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fhow-to-be-happy.html), limitless knowledge and unconditional love of the whole universe.
The Symptoms of Kundalini Awakening
It’s easy to feel kundalini energy because it’s a forceful and concentrated energy that quickly moves through chakras. People usually feel the burning sensation in the part of the body where the energy resides.
There are other signs indicating that this energy has awakened in you, such as visions of non-physical beings, serpents and gods.
You also have a strange feeling in your muscles and you may experience involuntary body movements.
A quite usual symptom of kundalini awakening is extreme feelings of plenty of energy (when you feel super active) and very low energy (when you feel very sleepy). You can also feel headaches or pressures in your head (usually on the temples, the back or top of the head).
Your emotions might quickly change throughout the day and you may react to people and circumstances in a more extreme manner than usual. During such mood swings it’s usual to experience higher levels of awareness (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Flevels-of-awareness.html) so you will sometimes feel blissful and sometimes you may see unusual visions.
You may experience different kinds of psychic activities such as extrasensory awareness, OBE (Out of Body Experience), memories of your past lives and seeing auras (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.personal-development-coach.net%2Fseeing-auras.html).
You also feel energy rushes throughout your entire body and sometimes in one part of the body only. Some energy rushes are quick and forceful, some make you feel dizzy (energy rushes in your head) or frightened.
Sometimes you can feel as though something crawls on you or some part of your body becomes itchy. You may start feeling very hot or cold not depending on your environment.
When the energy awakens, you may start changing your sleeping or eating patterns. You may sleep longer or shorter and during different times. Your eating habits might completely change, for example, you might stop eating meat.

I have experienced nearly all of those symptoms since Christmas and yes very disconcerting some of them. I think it is tinnitus but tinnitus in the sense my brain is adjusting to new frequencies, which is a similar experience in terms of symptoms but different cause altogether.

Dogninja I'm glad it isn't just me! I think I might be getting the ringing so much due to the recent Kundalni, it might ease off perhaps, who knows..

The ringing and buzzing is your body changing frequencies for separation or transition into another part of existence. What you see are things that make sense to you on some level. Go with it. It is your time to explore. It may stop happening eventually, or may recur always. Try to realize while it is happening, you are in control and wish to gain more clarity of what is happening. It has been a very long time since my experiences very similar to these but I won't forget them. It is some kind of amalgamation of lucid dreaming, typical dreaming, and astral. Combined it makes very little sense, but how often do dreams really? We communicate to ourselves in events and pictures. Good luck and enjoy the how radical it all just really is...

The one way I most easily enter what you spoke of is through remote viewing. Crystal clear 4d real time images at will. I like remote viewing, responsibly done it is very neutral and scientific.

Getting confirmations on my observations left me looking at those images in a different way. Feeling a lot less crazy... and happy to not be as insane as I had thought I was:)

Etheric - thanks for your input. That makes a lot of sense. The visions do seem like a weird combination of astral and dreaming, even though I was awake. I will definitely make the most of what I experience.

Dogninja - actually, I am a bit fearful, but trying not to be! I don't know a lot about remote viewing - how would I do that and what actually is it? I've heard of it but not sure.

another strange thing... sometimes if i intend on using my eyes when they are shut, it all opens... but I must be relaxed and positive. Maybe instead of the attention on the noise next time, relax and allow your attention to look.... with your eyes closed. Look through your eyelids like they are not even there... sometimes works for me.

http://espresearch.com/ is a site featuring Russell Targ. My hero! One of the people who started the remote viewing program for the CIA in the US that went for 20 years.

He has a few good books out, and he is not a spiritual guru. No bells and whistles, charms or spells. Hes a buddhist, but I am a gnostic so it works:).

I've seen things like cartoons before and I've seen posts by other people about it. Sorry, don't know what any of it means though.

Hypnagogia is a state between being awake, and dreaming, it creates sometimes absurd, whimsical visions and images to dance across our vision, bright colours, they are normal 'hallucinations', that happen every time we almost fall asleep, but sometimes we do not pay attention to it. Sometimes these images can be spiritual, sometimes just plain absurd.

Hypnagogia is all related to Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming. Focusing on Hypnagogia, without falling asleep can bring on lucid dreams, as well as astral projection.
The loud ringing in your ears is an annoying stage of spiritual awakening, especially kundalini awakening, it is hearing energy vibrations. When past Hypnagogia state, when the body is falling asleep while you are awake, this can also create intense pressure around the head area, ringing, which is not dangerous, it is simply witnessing the body switching into sleep mode, it can scare the **** out of you if you don't know what it is.

Hi - I happened upon this thread while looking for information about an experience I had last year. I was on the phone with someone very special to me at the time and I was sitting on my bed. Just after I hung up I looked over and saw him lay his head down on the pillow next to mine and smile at me. I was wide awake and I knew it was a hallucination. I have no explanation for this. I wasn't involved in any specific spiritual quest, though ironically I just bought a book yesterday on Kundalini awakening.

I've called this a lucid hallucination and the only thing I could find about it was Oliver Sacks Ted talk about Charles Bonnet syndrome - which affects sight-impaired people but my sight is fine.

I don't think it was astral projection since it wasn't me leaving my body and I asked the person I saw in the hallucination later if he experienced anything odd and told him about what had happened. He didn't seem to have any visions or strange out-of-body feelings so I just really don't know what that was. The hallucinations I've been reading about seem to be of strangers.

He was also someone who when we met, we both felt a very strong and palpable electricity and a feeling of familiarity. He's someone I'm trying to detach from but because of the connection that seemed to be otherworldly, I'm having a difficult time.

I'd love any feedback too. Thanks.

When i was little i use to see cartoon type stuff at night as well as other real type things. Also hearing voices and such. I would not disregard it! I always wondered why things manifested in cartoon.
