Question about Yoga Instructor Training

I really feel drawn to do this. What are your tips for choosing the best experience/school?

I feel that if you are motivated enough to become a yoga instructor you may be inclined to visit a school and financially support another instructor. However, the bottom line is personal experience. Simply experiencing the world of yoga for yourself and learning all that you learn will give you the tools to instruct others. I see no NEED for actually attending an instructional seminar.

A course that has its roots in traditional asanas, meditative practices, and reference to the yoga sutras and other literature. Nothing wrong in some innovation but a firm basis also needed.

In the UK, the British Wheel of Yoga is recommended. Is there something similar in the US?
