The Ancients were tuned into the connections between numbers and planets. Numbers permeate the entire Creation. I've written about these connections in one of my books. Here are some observations (Copyright 2015).

1 (3D) Universe, 1 local Star (Sun), 1 Earth (our local planet), 1 local Moon, 1 soul in 1 body, 1 present local lifetime, Conjunction aspect.

2 (Day and Night) divisions of the diurnal cycle, 2 roughly equal angular bodies (Sun and Moon) in the Celestial Vault, 2 directions from Earth (toward the Sun and toward the Stars), 2 Earth hemispheres (Northern and Southern), 2 Equinoxes, 2 Solstices, 2 Zodiacal motion directions (direct and retrograde), 2 types of Eclipses (Solar and Lunar), Opposition (180 degrees) aspect .

3 divisions of Space (down, horizontal, up), 3 inner "planets" (Sun, Mercury, Venus), 3 Months in each Season (Quarter of Year), 3 Sign Qualities (Fixed, Mutable, Cardinal), Trine (120 degrees) aspect.

4 Cardinal Directions (North, East, South, West), 4 Seasons of Year (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall: divided by 4 (2 Equinox + 2 Solstice) days, 4 Weeks of Month, 4 chart vector divider cusps (Ascendant {1st}, Descendant {7th}, MC {10th}, IC {4th}), 4 Quadrants of 24-hours day/night cycle, 4 Sign Elements (Fire, Air, Water, Earth), Square (90 degrees) aspect.

6 Months in each half of Year, 6 Hours in each half of Day/Night cycle) Sextile (60 degrees) aspect.

12 Constellations in the Zodiac of Astrology, 12 Months of the Year, and 12 Houses in a 24-hour day night cycle.

Note that 2X2=4, 2X3=6, 3X4, 6X2=12. In Numerology, there are subtle influences (Factors and Sums) within each single digit integer. 10th, 11th, 12th segments carry double digit significance. 12 is the final portion of the Year (by Month) and Day (by House and 2-hour "Watch"); it includes subtle influences of, and is resonant with 1,2,3,4,6!

Major Numbers are Birth Path Destiny (day+month+year), Grand Total Name Number, Heart Number (sum of vowels), Personality Number (sum of consonants), Birthdate. Also consider birthtime total (hrs+min+sec). Prenatal and Postnatal Eclipse (day+month+year) totals (I call this Life Path Grid Numbers); they represent powerful longterm influences, can be found here:

Matching major numbers indicates similarity. Some numbers resonate well together. Examples are Odd Numbers, Even Numbers (which share a "2" factor), and Master Numbers (share an "11" factor). Other numbers which share a factor (eg 3,6,9 or 4,8). Also nonidentical double digit numbers which reduce to same single digit. For example: 3, 12/3, 21/3, 30/3 etc. All happy numbers! :D
