So, you know those scenes in holiday movies where everyone is gathered around a piano, singing carols at the top of their lungs with a glass of wine in one hand? The ones that never happen in real life? Yeah, they happen. That's my family; we actually call our holiday get-together our Caroling Party. We have a few musicians in the family (my mom who plays the piano, my brother, two of my nieces, and myself) but what else everyone lacks in talent they make up for in sheer enthusiasm: Oh Holy Night usually rattles the windows.

So in the spirit of the season, I thought I should start this thread to share my all time faves, and to see what everyone else likes. In no particular order....

1) Oh, Holy Night. No other carol really allows you to belt it like this one.
2) O Come, All Ye Faithful.
3) Silent Night. The classic.
4) Angels We Have Heard On High
5) The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting). Gotta throw one secular one in there, and I have a thing for slow vocal jazz.

So share your list, and Happy Holidays!

Not a carol but:
Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 by Transiberian Orchestra tops my list of Christmas music. :angel4:
