Candles absorbing negative energy

I know that candles, black in particular, can be used to as sorb negative energy. I was going to give this a try, but I was wondering, what happens to the negative energy it absorbs? When I am ridding myself of negative energy, I gather it all up and push it down into the ground to be cleansed, I always think, of the negativity. So how does this work with candles? I would be using them to cleanse a space of negative energy. Thanks..

Just taking a guess here, maybe the negativity is being burned up ..... as the candle burns, and when the candle has burned completely down, the negativity will be gone ? Makes sense to me :smile:

You have to replace the negative energy with something positive. You'll want to burn another colored candle to represent a positive emotion once the black one burns down. So the question is what do you want to replace it with?

white - purity, peace, renewal
pink - friendship, love
red - passion, strength, courage
yellow - happiness, pleasure, success

Just look up the magickal meanings of colors.
