Why do we forgive, how do we forgive...when we are in God-consciousness- we see so clearly - the neighbor is me - the neighbor is hurt- the neighbor is acting out from pain - the neighbor is in a cloud of illusion - but, even so, is being used to give me an opportunity to see myself in her and God in both of us acting out a Dance set up long ago.
Forgiving and seeing Truth in the Dance sets us free from the ego to realize what all this is.

My clients often know the truth and can quote the most wisest of sayings from various texts yet their instinctive part of the brain the limbic is behaving very differently so regardless of what they know is the truth, they feel they cant help but act in another way. This isnt the ego by the way, its just part of their brain simply being over active due to pressure, stress and general anxiety. Some people are more prone to anxiety than others due to their DNA makeup. Clients tell me that despite their best efforts they cant help but act in a way which feels like they are not in control. This is an anxious mind running instinctively and also when it does this it shuts out the rationality from the cortexs, which its designed to do.

Wisdom comes in many forms and whilst some of it makes total sense sometimes it also isnt practical and doesnt take into account the natural functions of the brain and our psychological make up. (we are all irrational thinkers)

We (or I) am coming from the "world unseen" - the place that created
all that you see including the brain and all it's chemicals; that world.

There are physical laws and there are spiritual laws ----spiritual laws always trump the physical laws...when called upon and believed. ( ie, raising the dead, resurrecting, healing the sick, levitating or the 'unexplained' daily miracles in our lives.)
I have been in so much therapy in the past - I was on anti-depressants- actually more for OCD. Not any more!

The "Truth", I'd rather say God or Holy Spirit, completely healed and changed my brain chemistry. Well, and healed my hip that was headed for replacement.

BUT, I don't ever try to convince or change a worldly person's thinking.
There is this concrete stuff, we hear and see - then
there is the miraculous - I deal with the miraculous.

("Focus on the things above and not the things on the earth." Col 3:2 For an example of old spiritual wisdom and insight.)

There are people here that if they were told by a doctor
they had cancer ---I bet they would believe him and think they did.

There is no way I would buy into that.

So, see you are talking to a irrational person according to the "world's" standards. Spiritually, I'm very rational.

The world and the spirit - will never talk the same language.

Many people "Parrot" Divine Truth. It is "hollow" when a Parrot speaks.......funny but hollow.

Ah, the philosophy of a God which is debated by all the great minds which also includes us. As no-one knows the truth, then how will they? They can debate, discuss, believe and have faith in many things but that still doesnt alter the fact that their mind and bodies will function naturally.
You come from a place of belief, which is great for you, but it doesnt make it the truth.

I would say any good therapist, doctor will come from a place of experience and not just training. Not sure why you added News Editor with that list?

This is a nice idea which makes spirituality the hero of the day with quotes like that but physical laws and what you call spiritual law may the be the same thing but due to lets just say lack of knowledge, spiritualists often plaigerise what scientists discover and manipulate it to make spirituality seem all the more powerful. Look what it has done with quantum physics which is just bad science. It makes spiritual people seem weak, gullible and misguided when we are marketed and manipulated like that with powerful quotes about the spiritual laws that exist but in reality no-one really knows what they are. They just think they do.

Well I really hope you never find out, I must admit you seem to be implying that people who are told they have cancer are weak? Maybe I misunderstand and you can correct me but thats not helpful for anyone who finds out what actually could save their lives. Im all for miracle healing but in reality its way to sporadic and rare to be counted on. And before its said, yes most pray, yes some believe they will be healed and yes they still die. Then of course we just add the excuse to cover up the lack of a miracle by saying it was their destiny or even worse, they were weak and didnt believe enough.

But it was nice taking to you, Shepherd -tho we view the world differently - so what, right?

One thing I do agree on is that we do see the world differently and thats ok. Just as long as your happy with people pointing out why they may not believe your beliefs. I am also happy with that and will put my point across but have no need to convince another. If I put the options out there then thats all I can do.

It is still a bit of a mystery to me. I just met a group in Feb '10 into ACIM...mostly what I know is from them - not joining a group or actually studying it yet!
I have many books tho on the Course. And some CDs ---it is an amazing thing - from what I can tell!
The miracle is, as I found Deepak said in "The Third Jesus", - a change/shift in our perspective!

Conflict must be resolved. It cannot be evaded, set aside, denied, disguised, seen somewhere else, called by another name, or hidden by deceit of any kind, if it would be escaped. It must be seen exactly as it is, where it is thought to be, in the reality which has been given it, and with the purpose that the mind accorded it. For only then are its defenses lifted, and the truth can shine upon it as it disappears.
Father, forgiveness is the light You chose to shine away all conflict and all doubt, and light the way for our return to You. No light but this can end our evil dream. No light but this can save the world. For this alone will never fail in anything, being Your gift to Your beloved Son.




Beyond the teachings.........in stillness, is a Mystery. YOU are part of that Mystery. Focus on your breath each day, all day, in every activity;this will create space for the Mystery to be known. You will forget as you get caught up in the events of the day. Return to focus as soon as you remember.



When you feel attacked ...........breath!
Look at the "emotion" and Realize this: it is an old defensive pattern. Break up the pattern by creating space for it to dissolve.

I personally don't think people do anything wrong which warrants me having to forgive them. I suppose I am blessed with the curiousity, understanding and compassion for human behaviour.

Also if I feel wronged somehow then the issue is mine to explore and make peace with, blaming someone else for my feelings doesnt work for me, so forgiveness isnt relevant.

Sometimes conflict is deep, ancient, and entrenched. Sometimes conflict is just a difference of perspectives, of people. But we are all human. We all need to feel acknowledged and respected as people. We all need to be handled humanely and with dignity.

Darkness cannot overcome darkness; only light can do that.
Hatred cannot overcome hatred; only love can do that.

Fear does bind the world. This is our biggest collective obstacle...experienced at all levels...a spectrum of fears.

Releasing some may be easy. Releasing those last few...can be very hard.

Here's what we all need. A space to name our fears without censure. A place to be heard. A place where we can be there for one another and say, it's ok to be afraid...but it doesn't have to be the end. Now let's work with it and find a way to move forward.

Fear does bind the world. This is our biggest collective obstacle...experienced at all levels...a spectrum of fears.

Releasing some may be easy. Releasing those last few...can be very hard.

Fear is also very useful and its a good idea to remember that instead of trying to be rid of fear when it can be worked with can create wealth on all levels in our lives. Its about context too and working out if there are benefits from experiencing the fear or not.

I teach to clients the benefits of fear and anything else percieved as dark, heavy, negative and so on. Being more aware when they experience it can help then transform it to something else if in context and if thats whats needed.

I will not wait another day to find the treasures that my Father offers me. Illusions are all vain, and dreams are gone even while they are woven out of thoughts that rest on false perceptions. Let me not accept such meager gifts again today. God’s Voice is offering the peace of God to all who hear and choose to follow Him. This is my choice today. And so I go to find the treasures God has given me.
I seek but the eternal. For Your Son can be content with nothing less than this. What, then, can be his solace but what You are offering to his bewildered mind and frightened heart, to give him certainty and bring him peace? Today I would behold my brother sinless. This Your Will for me, for so will I behold my sinlessness.




ACIM teaches that forgiveness is ultimately an illusion. So too are all "things" ...... The majority of human beings are still trapped in a split field of consciousness, and the illusion of forgiveness is the quickest illusion to use to escape the trap. Forgiveness is the last illusion and when a sincere individual faces every inner illusion/demon and dispels them rather than clinging to the thoughts evoked by them....... forgiveness is no longer needed.



Some will do this once and it is done. Some will do this a thousand times and need to do it a thousand more. How will you know when you are done? A: The Mystery fills you and Ego is gone and replaced by the Divine Persona, The Christ within, The Buddha within, The Krishna Within, The Tao within, The Holy Spirit, The Self, The No Self; terms matter not, A Living Presence enters and is first felt as an Ecstatic State or Bliss or Unconditional Love or Grace. Again, the terms do not matter; the experience has occurred or it has not. Many will fake it when they here these words. Ego is a cleverly crafted critical non-being and it will not go without one hell of a fight and it will even conceal itself in "I do good works".



"The Good Old days", to an 80 year old these are the 1930's, to the 50 year old these are the 1960's, to the 6 year old these are RIGHT NOW! Why? A: The Good Old Days were when Ego was at its weakest! It was barely formed. Children adapt quickly because there is little "clinging" of Ego. Jesus said "To enter the Kingdom of Heaven you must become like these children." Simply restated in todays terms "To enter the Heavenly State of Mind/Being/Consciousness you must return to an Egoless age in your own Being."



Spend one year focusing on your Breathing and you will learn more than I or any other can teach you in a lifetime. Why? How? A: Simple, you will create "Space" for Truth to dispel the chattering mindless Ego.
This is the secret of ZEN........."Stop Thinking". What!!! If I stop thinking I won't know anything!@$@$%$% ................
That is the sound of Fear each has to break through. Thoughts will arise out of the silence but these are not the same as the chattering mindless Ego. Learn to Discern the difference through daily "paying attention INWARD". Focus on breathing slow and deep and the next step will come from within.

Combine ACIM with 30 minutes of morning Yoga and you will feel ...........ALIVE and Happy.

Forgiveness is a choice. I never see my brother as he is, for that is far beyond perception. What I see in him is merely what I wish to see, because it stands for what I want to be the truth. It is to this alone that I respond, however much I seem to be impelled by outside happenings. I choose to see what I would look upon, and this I see, and only this. My brother’s sinlessness shows me that I would look upon my own. And I will see it, having chosen to behold my brother in its holy light.
What could restore Your memory to me, except to see my brother’s sinlessness? His holiness reminds me that he was created one with me, and like myself. In him I find my Self, and in Your Son I find the memory of You as well.

Forgiveness is the means appointed for perception’s ending. Knowledge is restored after perception first is changed, and then gives way entirely to what remains forever past its highest reach. For sights and sounds, at best, can serve but to recall the memory that lies beyond them all. Forgiveness sweeps away distortions, and opens the hidden altar to the truth. Its lilies shine into the mind, and call it to return and look within, to find what it has vainly sought without. For here, and only here, is peace of mind restored, for this the dwelling place of God Himself.
In quiet may forgiveness wipe away my dreams of separation and of sin. Then let me, Father, look within, and find Your promise of my sinlessness is kept; Your Word remains unchanged within my mind, Your Love is still abiding in my heart.

It needs but this to let salvation come to all the world. For in this single thought is everyone released at last from fear. Now has he learned that no one frightens him, and nothing can endanger him. He has no enemies, and he is safe from all external things. His thoughts can frighten him, but since these thoughts belong to him alone, he has the power to change them and exchange each fear thought for a happy thought of love. He crucified himself. Yet God has planned that His beloved Son will be redeemed.
Your plan is sure, my Father,—only Yours. All other plans will fail. And I will have thoughts that will frighten me, until I learn that You have given me the only Thought that leads me to salvation. Mine alone will fail, and lead me nowhere. But the Thought You gave me promises to lead me home, because it holds Your promise to Your Son.




Each moment you are "choosing" between Love and Fear. Which will you choose? Practice a 1 minute "heart meditation" every single time Fear takes over. How?
Sit still eyes open or closed.......does not matter.

Focus on the emotion which is present.....
Ask "Let me see through this and into the Divine Mind"
Then LET IT GO......
Breath deep, three deep breaths ......


Pay attention to your inner state, has it shifted?
If not keep repeating every half hour or so.....


You will notice the inner change.

Let us resolve today to ask for what we really want, and only this, that we may spend this day in fearlessness, without confusing pain with joy, or fear with love.
Father, this is Your day. It is a day in which I would do nothing by myself, but hear Your Voice in everything I do; requesting only what You offer me, accepting only Thoughts You share with me.

Violence stems from self hatred
What is a violent person but a person who feels unloved
Trapped in Shadow while denying the Shadow in themselves

A violent person has only one of two futures....
A shortened life through self-destruction or a glorious shift!~

The key is.....has always been the same
The key to change is to turn around and LOOK at Oneself!

The self we fear is the one self which sets us free
That dark Shadow we deny is the holder of the key to our own inner freedom.

Then darkness transforms into Light and we see with True sight.

Our mind clears...
Our hearts clear....
Pain and suffering dissolve
LOVE resolves out of the ashes of our own despair.

The end of suffering can not be loss. The gift of everything can be but gain. You only give. You never take away. And You created me to be like You, so sacrifice becomes impossible for me as well as You. I, too, must give. And so all things are given unto me forever and forever. As I was created I remain. Your Son can make no sacrifice, for he must be complete, having the function of completing You. I am complete because I am Your Son. I cannot lose, for I can only give, and everything is mine eternally.
The mercy and the peace of God are free. Salvation has no cost. It is a gift that must be freely given and received. And it is this that we would learn today.

Yet he whom I forgive will give me gifts beyond the worth of anything on earth. Let my forgiven brothers fill my store with Heaven’s treasures, which alone are real. Thus is the law of love fulfilled. And thus Your Son arises and returns to You.
How near we are to one another, as we go to God. How near is He to us. How close the ending of the dream of sin, and the redemption of the Son of God.

I didn't click on your link bec I found one to send the daily Lessons to a friend- I have many many ACIM books - I find then at used stores all the time.

For others information - there is a soft cover book at any Borders and there are Course groups all over the place little discussion groups.
If a person simply ponders each lesson - there is a shift in perceptions that happens --it is like it readies the brain for this new insightful way to look at the world.
In other words, one wouldn't want to say -"Well, I know all this and jump around the 365 Lessons ---there is a magical method to The Course.

And He is like His Father. Thus must I be one with You as well as Him. For who is Christ except Your Son as You created Him? And what am I except the Christ in me?

who originated it, so I can't give them the credit.
But, I really enjoyed it and think you will too.
** True Story of Rudolph**
A man named Robert L. May, depressed and brokenhearted,
stared out his drafty apartment window into the chilling
December night.
His 4-year-old daughter Barbara sat on his lap quietly
sobbing.
Bobs wife, Evelyn, was dying of cancer.
Little Barbara couldn't understand why her mommy
could never come home. Barbara looked up into her
dad's eyes and asked, "Why isn't Mommy just like
everybody else's Mommy?"
Bob's jaw tightened and his eyes welled with tears.
Her question brought waves of grief, but also of anger.
It had been the story of Bob's life. Life always had to
be different for Bob.
Small when he was a kid, Bob was often bullied by
other boys.
He was too little at the time to compete in sports.
He was often called names he'd rather not remember.
From childhood, Bob was different and never seemed
to fit in.
Bob did complete college, married his loving wife and
was grateful to get his job as a copywriter at Montgomery
Ward during the Great Depression. Then he was blessed
with his little girl. But it was all short-lived. Evelyn's bout
with cancer stripped them of all their savings and now Bob
and his daughter were forced to live in a two-room
apartment in the Chicago slums. Evelyn died just days
before Christmas in 1938.
Bob struggled to give hope to his child, for whom he
couldn't even afford to buy a Christmas gift. But if he
couldn't buy a gift, he was determined a make one - a
storybook!
Bob had created an animal character in his own mind
and told the animal's story to little Barbara to give her
comfort and hope.
Again and again, Bob told the story, embellishing it
more with each telling.
Who was the character? What was the story all about?
The story Bob May created was his own autobiography
in fable form. The character he created was a misfit
outcast like he was.
The name of the character? A little reindeer named
Rudolph, with a big shiny nose.
Bob finished the book just in time to give it to his little
girl on Christmas Day.
But the story doesn't end there.
The general manager of Montgomery Ward caught
wind of the little storybook and offered Bob May a
nominal fee to purchase the rights to print the book.
Wards went on to print, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed
Reindeer" and distribute it to children visiting Santa
Claus in their stores.
By 1946, Wards had printed and distributed more than
six million copies of Rudolph.
That same year, a major publisher wanted to purchase
the rights from Wards to print an updated version of
the book.
In an unprecedented gesture of kindness, the CEO of
Wards returned all rights back to Bob May.
The book became a best seller.
Many toy and marketing deals followed and Bob May,
now remarried with a growing family, became wealthy
from the story he created to comfort his grieving daughter.
But the story doesn't end there either.
Bob's brother-in-law, Johnny Marks, made a song
adaptation to Rudolph.
Though the song was turned down by such popular
vocalists as Bing Crosby and Dinah Shore , it was
recorded by the singing cowboy, Gene Autry.
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" was released in
1949 and became a phenomenal success, selling more
records than any other Christmas song, with the
exception of "White Christmas."
The gift of love that Bob May created for his daughter
so long ago kept on returning back to bless him again
and again. And Bob May learned the lesson, just like
his dear friend Rudolph, that being different isn't so
bad. In fact, being different can be a blessing.

Father, You promised You would never fail to answer any call Your Son might make to You. It does not matter where he is, what seems to be his problem, nor what he believes he has become. He is Your Son, and You will answer him. The miracle reflects Your Love, and thus it answers him. Your Name replaces every thought of sin, and who is sinless cannot suffer pain. Your Name gives answer to Your Son, because to call Your Name is but to call his own.
