For my birthday my mom got me a gift card for a massage/reiki at a local place. What should I do to prepare forn it to get the best outcome?

what a wonderful present!

I would sit in quiet meditation and ask that your higher connects with the higher of the reiki practitioner and brings you the message / healing / energy that you need. ANd open your heart and mind to whatever might come.

It is a much needed present. My back is so tight between injuring it at work and stress. Im really excited.

Why showing/bathing? Just out of curiosity.

You've been given some good replies.

So once you're there and the Reiki-ist is going to start the session, just relax and let go.

Try to surrender to the experience and be open to receiving healing energy. Don't have expectations. Be kind to yourself.

Let us know how it goes! :)

Thats a shame.. A Massage is just that, Reiki is something else...
your practitioner will advise you with regard to the Reiki, but usually I advise clients to empty their pockets of mobile phone, and metal objects other electrical devices... and to remove their shoes.. To lie on the Reflexology couch and relax... It is also a good idea to remove your watch...

I hope you are able to rebook soon...

as far as a massage goes, one treatment is not going to sort your back tension...

I know. I just got promoted and now have a little extra cash to spoil myself with so I can start going more. Its more of a "me time" gift. I have a habit of spending all my extra cash on everyone but myself. It makes me happy but even so I end up kind of neglecting myself.
