Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary. Then ask yourself, and yourself alone, one question . . . Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn't. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you.

Interesting... could you please elaborate on what you mean by "have a heart"? Some paths may be both joyful and painful all at once: does it still have a heart? What are signs that a path has a "heart"? What are the indications? How can you recognize the heart in your path? (sorry, I'm more of a "concrete" (vs abstract) type of person hehe)

It seems to me that a path needs both head and heart.

I have found what Rumi says to be true, that what I seek is seeking me. In that context, all my many paths had their source in love. Peace

It is kind of an interesting quote, not sure if it does it for me.....in weakness we learn strength, with no heart we can learn to find heart...anyhow its just his view where he wrote it from I suppose.

Funny thing: the person who mostly attracted me back here, happened to be the first person to reply on my first post..
