PsychoPomp, Reaper, Shinigami, Death God, Soul Reaper, Shade, Grim Reaper, Angel of Death, Grim Angel, Angelic Reaper - all are the same synonyms. I frequently use the nickname "Shade" to identify myself rather than any of the others because of the fear it can instill within the kiddos. And I do not like to scare kiddos especially. Kiddos are sweet.

But I came to this host/body on purpose. The baby was clinically dead during the third trimester whence it's possible for a spirit to "step-in" so to speak. For some odd reason whence I cannot fathom, its usually only during the third trimester unless someone is a Celestial or something.

So I guess I kind of do and do not fall into that realm of thinking. *shrug*

Be that as it may, labels are ultimately just different ways of looking at the same thing. The same thing that we are unable to completely comprehend in human form. Labels have their function just as everything does. The problems that arise with the use of labels do so as the result of an over-identification with them. If the OP says she's a Shade then she is. It's all psychological at the end of the day anyway.

Besides,I like the idea of Astral Police. If (when I finally manage to get out of my body) I am ever in trouble I know who I can call upon for help! It's rather comforting!

In defense of Shade, not that I belief he needs any, he seams to understand very well what he is and what he isn't. I checked with "my people", those I am connected to, what Shade is, and yes, his kind fulfill a certain function, or functions. And no they don't play in any sandboxes, and they don't have to concern themselves with any ascension problems, they don't ascend, ever.

I have come across someone who calls herself a darkness. It is the darkside of a personality, Tolle calls them pain bodies. Anyway this one I met is fully detached and independent of the host that it was originally part of (but has no physical form). She is made of darkness and survives on negative emotions but she is protector and guardian to her host now. She even goes out and kills other independant darkness's if they turn rogue as she calls it and attack their hosts (make them suicidal).

Sounds similar to shade. Is that what you started out as perhaps? Maybe she'll go on to incarnate independently after this lifetime? She says she is linked to the soul of the host and will die with her, move to the next incarnation with her but maybe not?

Just goes to show that not everything that lives on the dark side is dark. I have come to the conclusion that the dark is just another aspect of the light in the end. But still watch out cos there are dangerous things in the dark

What is the look of shades? I have dreamed for a few months of jet black big feathery wings, once saw in the mirror [always while in a dream] 2 horns on my head; I googled it and found that horns usually have an important spiritual meaning. I have also dreamed seeing myself with a sword, of flying and fighting demons/aliens.

In one of these dreams, after flying outside for a while, when I returned to my bedroom I found a bald woman w/crooked nose standing by my bed, looking at me while I was sleeping; she was surprised to see me in this form; at that point I mocked her because I thought that she looked ridiculous; she took an issue with that and opened a huge mouth as if trying to bite me. I got angry and was going to destroy her but decided against that because I felt ashamed of my stupid attitude and decided to 'help' her instead.

I touched her on the forehead and started praying the 'Father's prayer'. Upon starting doing that she felt backward shaking. When I finished praying I woke up and felt much peace and calmness, and not an ounce of fear
