Your Best Advice Regarding Trance

I had been asked by somebody of such a tender age close to me to help her attain Trance State.
I looked into this quite sometime ago, and yet still have to do some digging from my notes about the procedures.
I'm having second thoughts about helping or not, knowing that this opens up doors - doors into matters which may be needing special care or even therapy, but I want to help.

Thanks Gregatha. She asked me not because she is having problems, so there isn't much reason to take her to a therapist (there is a hypnotherapist living just uphill at my countryside home).
She's asked because she is just interested in trance,
and also for knowing about how someone can train their mind like in lucid dreaming and meditation. She is an atheist, so you can just imagine what's she is like when it comes to beliefs. And I'm fine by that, as I'd rather have her find her own way and just help with what interests her.
