hi Rumar,

I didn't realize this was also a movie. I have the book but haven't read it yet ~ it wasn't a book I chose, someone gave it to me.

Hello Dream!

It's funny how folks made such a fuss over this book and movie. I have read the book and seen the movie, and quite frankly I was not all that impressed. I found Mitch Album's earlier book (Tuesdays with Morrie, also made into a movie starring Jack Lemmon in his last performance) to be far deeper in scope and far more spiritual. It was real, immediate, and raw, and it laid bare all the human emotions associated with transition. Have you by any chance read the book or seen the movie? Truly excellent:smile:

hi LightFilledHeart,

I remember hearing about " Tuesdays with Morrie " but I haven't read the book or seen the movie. I don't often do both, either I read the book or see the movie.

Thanks for the recommendation !

Yes, Dream, I understand  If you do only one, I would recommend the movie in this case. The acting is superb and you cannot help but feel what the characters are going through as they experience fear, stretch beyond, and eventually conquer it. It's quite lovely, and very moving. If you do indeed buy or rent it, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Blessings! :D
