Krishna played his flute for me
I danced in the forest for him;
The day was calm summer wonder-
In the distance the clouds gathered
In my heart there was a tranquil melody.
And Radha loved me for a while
As golden afternoon softened the air
As we forgot all that had passed by.
New life, new hopes, new dreams;
Kali's soul grew tender in the evening,
Amber sun and darkening skyline,
She told me of a world beyond time
Where all of our fears are at an end;
And I wondered in my ignorance
How far away that heaven must be,
But she smiled a tender caring smile,
And said to me that is was right here
