Can someone suggest a good introductory work to Blavatsky's works, perhaps a faithful summary?

I'll admit I'm new to theosophical teachings but I've studied Gnosticism, the occult, and many world religions and mystery teachings for lots of years...

yet when I sit down to read Isis Unveiled or The Secret Doctrine, I'm hard-pressed to grasp her vocabulary or even conjure a single point of reference in my memory. It's like reading riddles in a language I don't know... jabberwocky, jabberwocky, and so forth.

Try The Ocean of Theosophy by her friend & disciple, William Q Judge.
