I recently started growing some sweet basil, sage, and spearmint and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips they can give me to help them grow?

They love plenty of water - with drainage and plenty of sun...not shade.
Outdoors, not in pots.
You may have to buy a natural insect spray good for eatables at the plant store.
Spearmint should be far away bec it will take over everything...I found peppermint to be way more useful - But, I like summer drinks with it and Indian chutney and other Asian foods.

They would benefit from feeding. Powdered seaweed is marvellous.

Agreed - good drainage - lots of sun - they grown fine in pots if they have the right conditions...I had a hard time with basil, myself, until I read about "companion planting" and it said that basil grows better with tomatoes - I tried it - planted a clump of basil in the middle of a bunch of tomato plants...and wow did that work - the basil grew like crazy :)

I've been growing Lavender inside the house for 3 weeks, when is the best time to take them outside?

Definitely grow them south facing, with tons of sun. I grew mine in pots over the years but I have a bad habit of overseeding. Any mints should be potted as they do overgrow and them come back year after year like my strawberries.
CrazyDiamond, I grew lavender before and they should be gradually introduced to the sunny areas after fear of frost.
