I consider these two mantras/affirmations... I find they are quite effective, yet they seem to break every rule I've ever been taught or learnt about affirmations.

My personal one that I have fought depression with:

I shall not give in!
I will not give out!
I shall not retreat!
I shall not surrender!
I will not go out gently into that cold night
I shall face the fires of hell
I will be stronger than ever before.
And I shall over come!

Dune's Litany Against Fear:

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Same theme, but a little different. I think the US Marine Corps created this one:

Improvise, Adapt, Overcome!

-Actually I think I could re-phrase the litany against fear and make it fully positive.

Also I know, the Litany Against Fear, saved my life and gave me the strength to get in touch with a healing specialist guide, at a time I was dying. She truly helped me, and I am forever thankful.
