View Full Version : Traditional child development theories vs. Spirituality

I work in a preschool, and I always see the children from a holistic perspective. However, professionally, I have to adhere to what the psychologists/theorists/directors say about a child's needs and behaviour.

For instance, I am told that children between age 2 and 5 need a nap/rest time because if they don't get it, they will lack cognitive strength. I disagree with this. Humanity is much more complex than a theory or a journal article on child development.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this. Does anyone know of a place where I can work with indigo, crystal and star children that is open to children's spiritual development?
