Just been dusting my book shelves [imagine Norse with pink feather duster ! :D] and paused at a superb book I have read several times before. Picked it out for another read.
The book is The Descent by Jeff Long - fiction, lots of sciences [geology, anthropology, anatomy, some spirituality. The premise is that there is another genus of Homo Erectus, living in extensive subterranean cave systems which underpin our entire planet. Their leader is our archetype Satan. The story is about a small group hunting for evidence of his existence - above and below the surface.
There is a video of the same title which is a **** chick-flick - don't bother with it ! I fell for the scam and in a year have watched 5 minutes of it.
Amazon have the book in stock on special - not a new book, it dates from 1999. You will not be sorry if good, well-written fantasy is your taste.
