hello. i have a life of traumatic experiences and bad health. i'll be more than happy to go into more detail on those things if anyone is interested, but the point of this post is that now since i've had a surgery in august of last year, i still haven't healed, and i still have problems with one of my past surgeries. i'm now dabbling in oil and light healing therapy, and i attempted my own ritual last night with a reiki-charged healing candle. i am hoping that some of you could post in this thread and just give me tips for a low budget and being a homebody when it comes to pursuing this type of therapy, along with regular visits to the actual physician that takes care of me - even though he doesn't believe in "that type of stuff."

dolly... I've used several methods for energy self-healing. The ones I've found that work the best for me are:

EFT at http://universe.com and many good books.

The Healing Code - from a book by that name and on this thread: http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=31115

MIR-Method - http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=29467

This can be done at home. The movements and meditations might seem simple and silly but it is very powerful. You must take it seriously though and practice every day (not 10 min now and then). Takes care of Mind/Body/Spirit at the same time.

Only Level 1 is necessary. Let me know if you need guidance or help.

Your doctor is probably a sensible person and knows a lot about things, I mean you wouldn't go to a reiki master for an operation ay? LoL.

What kind of spiritual approaches have you taken so far?

Reiki is great for physical healing. But we need a lot more information if we are to advise you properly.
