Illusion is perhaps one of the greatest reasons for the confusion that many Humans reflect. What then is "illusion," and what purpose does it serve in the progression of a Humans understanding? While these are two very interesting points to explore, perhaps one of the most important to the energetic being is when does a New Year cycle begin? Is it the 1st of January as the mundane world would have us believe or a simpler truth that Nature supports? The Sun is an important driving force for all organic life on this planet, and as such is the dominant factor it the balance of Light and Darkness.
The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year and as such is the master of the night. With its passing each day that follows in the cycle grows longer, until as with the Summer Solstice each Night that follows gains length. A balance of Energies to guide our awareness of a world unfolding in all aspects of possibility.
Why then I ask you would January 1st herald a new year? Blessings

Totally agree; how can the 1st be the New Year. Society sets the standards now, not nature.

Many cultures have differing spiritual New Years and in the spirit of commercial and social unification Jan 1st is a time when all paths can unite to enjoy one day of the year they all agree on to be in harmony

I think It does not devalue individual date celebrations and its important to realise many folk dont know what a soltice is and for half the world{ish} our winter soltice is their summer soltice

Happy New Year {whenever} :hug3:
