The obvious existence of God

From the moment man opens his eyes to this world a great order surrounds him. He needs oxygen to survive. It is interesting that the atmosphere of the planet on which he lives provides more than just the adequate amount of oxygen he needs. This way, he breathes without difficulty. For the existence of life on this planet, the existence of a source of heat is essential. In response to this need, the sun is located just at the right distance to emit just the exact amount of heat and energy man needs. Man needs nourishment to survive. Every corner of the world abounds in astonishingly diversified provisions. Likewise, man needs water. Surprisingly, three-fourths of the planet is covered with water. Man needs shelter, and in this world, there is land on which it is suitable to build and all sorts of materials to make shelters.

These are only a few among billions of details making life possible on earth. In brief, man lives on a planet perfectly designed for his survival. This is certainly a planet "created for human beings".

A person's interpretation of the world rests on "acquired methods of thought." That is, he thinks in the way he has been taught, or, less kindly, the way in which he is indoctrinated. Under this misguidance, he often dismisses all the aforementioned as "trivial realities." However, if he does not side-step the matter, and start questioning the conditions making our existence possible, he will surely step out of the boundaries of habitual thinking and start to think:

How does the atmosphere serve as a protective ceiling for the earth?

How does each one of the billions of cells in the human body know and perform its individual tasks?

How does this extraordinary ecological balance exist on earth?

A person seeking answers to these questions surely proceeds on the right path. He does not remain insensitive to things happening around him, and doesn't plead ignorance about the extraordinary nature of the world. A person who asks questions, who reflects on and gives answers to these questions will realize that on every inch of the planet, a plan and an order reigns:

How did the flawless order in the whole universe come into being?

Who provided the delicate balances in the world?

How did living beings, incredibly diversified in nature, emerge?

Keeping oneself occupied with relentless research to answer these questions results in a clear awareness that everything in the universe, its
order, each living being and structure is a component of a plan, a product of design. Every detail, the excellent structure of an insect's wing, the system enabling a tree to carry tons of water to its topmost branches, the order of planets, and the ratio of gases in the atmosphere, are all unique examples of perfection.

In every detail of the infinitely varied world, man finds his Creator. God, the owner of everything in the whole universe, introduces Himself to man through the flawless design of His creation. Everything surrounding us, the birds in flight, our beating hearts, the birth of a child or the existence of the sun in the sky, manifest the power of God and His creation. And what man must do is to understand this fact.

These purposes owe their existence to the fact that everything has been created. An intelligent person notices that plan, design and wisdom exist in every detail of the infinitely varied world. This draws him to recognition of the Creator.

So you never plead ignorance that all living beings, living or non-living, show the existence and greatness of God. Look at things around you and strive to show appreciation in the best manner for the eternal greatness of God.

The existence of God is OBVIOUS. Ignoring it would only be the beginning of the greatest damage we could ever do to ourselves. That is simply because God is in no need of anything. He is the One Who shows His greatness in all things and in all ways. God is the owner of everything, from the heavens to the earth. We learn the attributes of God from the Qur'an:

God! There is no god but Him, the Living, the Self-Sustaining. He is not subject to drowsiness or sleep. Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them but they cannot grasp any of His knowledge save what He wills. His Footstool encompasses the heavens and the earth and their preservation does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent. (Surat al-Baqarah: 255)

Speaking on the title itself. I have always felt that it was obvious around me that there was something, call it God or whatever.........but I have found as hard as it is for me to imagine, that not everyone feels this way and sees what seems so obvious to me.
Just thought I'd share that.

God is one way to look at it. Another could be a highly advanced civilization, millions of years ahead of humanity with terra-forming technology made Earth habitable for humanity and life as we understand it. In fact such a civilization could have nudged our evolution in the direction of humanity fairly easily.

I am not saying it wasn't God or that I believe the above to be true, however it an alternative possibility that many simply would not think of.

The energies we call God are seen in different ways. Seeing them in different ways doesn’t reduce the wonderfulness of it all or impair the ability of others to see these energies however they see fit.

Some see God as a seperate creator deity while others see God as the unified Universe (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/showthread.php?p=220510&posted=1#post220510)where what we call God is manifesting in everything, animate & inanimate.

The earth has the "right" amount of oxygen for "us", because we evolved during the atomspheric composition as it is now. The atmosphereic composition has changed many, many times in the earth history, from 0 ogycen and c02, to more c02 then oxygen, and various other amounts of oxygen. The earth wasnt always made for us.

These are only a few among billions of details making life possible on earth. In brief, man lives on a planet perfectly designed for his survival. This is certainly a planet "created for human beings".

If it was "perfeclty" suited to our survival, then why do we do almost everything to get away from nature? We destroy forests to build cites and farm food. Humans move mountains, create lakes and rivers, and even move entire ones.

We have adapted to this planet due to millions of years of adaptation. We grew with the planet, and have adapted accordingly. That is why it seems liek its "perfect" for us, because it is, and only because its what we adapted to over long periods of time.

How does the atmosphere serve as a protective ceiling for the earth?

because the various layers of gases create a literal sheild. Not all planets have an atmosphere, and even if it does, there are massive variations. There is also the magnetic feild which acts as a "sheild" from solar radiation. And, even at that, life adapted to it to soem degree, because things are alive, dispite the bombardment of solar radiation and the liek which still manages to get in.

How does each one of the billions of cells in the human body know and perform its individual tasks?

Because that type of adaptation took almost a billion years before it could be called "cellular". If you look at the time of the earths existance, as a 24 horu clock, the earth was created at midnight, at 6 am, live was created, and it wasnt till 6 PM, that life diversified, then it was a litteral mad rush in the last 6 hours, where humans dont come to play untill 11 57 pm, just 3 minutes short of midnight.

So it isnt like thing went BOOM life, it took a very, very long time before it was anything reconizeable.

That being said, cells are very close to being sentient beings. Due to chemical excretions, dna/genes, and self organization that took a billion years to evolve, cells learned to run as an almost colletive concsious. Life created this pattern, and an ecosystem, runs much like the body - each type of life is doing its own thing to pupetuate the whole.

How does this extraordinary ecological balance exist on earth?

*see above

Its no different then the universe. As above, so below D:

A person seeking answers to these questions surely proceeds on the right path. He does not remain insensitive to things happening around him, and doesn't plead ignorance about the extraordinary nature of the world. A person who asks questions, who reflects on and gives answers to these questions will realize that on every inch of the planet, a plan and an order reigns:

How did the flawless order in the whole universe come into being?

Sortve like the above questions. But even simpler, it jsut happened. I could say mistake, but id rather say random chance. IMO, that is much more amazing, then something creating us.

Who provided the delicate balances in the world?

The world and everything on it.

How did living beings, incredibly diversified in nature, emerge?

Again, luck, and self organization, the same way cells seem to "know" what to do. It took a billion and a half years to get this far, dispite life being knocked back 5 times. The funny thing, each time an extinction event happens, life diversifies faster, stronger, and recovers much faster then the last. This is adaptation.

That is a very common argument, but again can be answered simply:

Its that way, because everything evolves around eachother to create a sort of homeostasis - when many things work together to create an ebb and flow pattern, which has been shown through non linear math in all healthy natural systems.

Now, why does creater have to be SOMETHING as in soem being doing it on purpose? Why cant it have been an event on accident? there wasnt always man, or birds, or even a universe. What is so hard in believing that its chance? Or even regarding the "event" as the creator, and things randomly happening?

These purposes owe their existence to the fact that everything has been created. An intelligent person notices that plan, design and wisdom exist in every detail of the infinitely varied world. This draws him to recognition of the Creator.

Created by itself, and the pressure of the surrounding environment.

So you never plead ignorance that all living beings, living or non-living, show the existence and greatness of God. Look at things around you and strive to show appreciation in the best manner for the eternal greatness of God.

You dont see squirrels practicing mass, or bears bowing to allah, or lizards meditating like buddha. The only creatures to believe in a god and/or creator is humans. So if were the only ones who practice it, does the rest of nature regard it?

The existence of God is OBVIOUS. Ignoring it would only be the beginning of the greatest damage we could ever do to ourselves. That is simply because God is in no need of anything. He is the One Who shows His greatness in all things and in all ways. God is the owner of everything, from the heavens to the earth. We learn the attributes of God from the Qur'an:

His Footstool encompasses the heavens and the earth and their preservation does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent. (Surat al-Baqarah: 255)
(Harun Yahya article)

If god didnt need anything, then why does he command out obiedience? Why must we only follow the bible? Why can we not be free to find god in our own way, without worrying about encuring gods wrath?

Excellent! Simply refreshing to read.

It is a pleasure to read good reasoning, in a world that seems to have lost its reasoning.

Peace on your journey.

Thank You Time !!!

Every time I see a broad statement by any religion, it is very very obvious not enough time and research has gone into its preparation.

If every religious person took the time to read about the beginning of the universe and the massive amounts of data available, as well as having a good look at evolutionary biology.... I think all religions would be better for it.

I just wished everyone would chose knowledge over ignorance. It makes me feel so sad that the true Glory of God ( the Source, the One ) has been so caricatured by these holy books.

The God given knowledge, technology and science has totally superseded these books. If God did not want to show himself/herself to us, why would he/she reveal the wonders of the universe or the quirkiness of God in quantum mechanics to all of us who choose to look with open eyes and open minds.

A loving heart does not mean a closed mind.

Cheers

We are in a exam in the earth.Allah has given us the power
to understand the Intellect,Reason,Rationality. We have no prove
in the eye view contact. But we can feel that.He has given us the power to
understand the inference that where is smoke there is some fire must. Now
we have to see that like smoke creator has many creation that he is controling.
So we can talk about the creations of him and clear the confusion about existance of Allah.

I believe it was Browning who wrote in one of his poems,
"God is in His Heaven, and all is right with the World."
I've had an ongoing debate with people that this is the Truth.

Likewise, religiously minded may say, "God is good all the time." (Time).

But how could this be, in light of what we see and read in the News?
Buddha spoke about this. And, it has been illustrated in popular media for some 13 years now, regarding the Wachowski's creation of, "The Matrix".

God is Truth. The Truth is revealed to us in the ancient writings, in the many Experience accounts one can read, such as at www.nderf.com (http://www.nderf.com), and, it is confirmed to us in modern Physics today, since Einstein.

i've been told that the universe praises God. it will sound ridiculous if we imagine plants or animals praise God as we are humans, right? but every element of the universe praise God in its own way; it praises by following its law fixed since the beginning of its creation. the sun cannot precede the moon as the night cannot precede the day (correct if i'm mistaken, please!). it is true to the atom, it cannot act outside of its law as it is found by modern chemistry today. so the question is: Who is the Law Maker? hardly accepted by mind if it's a random chance, because if it's to be true there'll be no science we can learn at all

in Sachiko Murata's book about Islam (The Vision of Islam), we may find a clear vision about Islam

apologize me as i'm only a learner. no mean to offend.....
God knows better
