View Full Version : Deep range vibrations get me

Lately I've been feeling a very visceral response to the deep range of jets going overhead. I feel it deep in my gut--a kind of resonance.

They have always been going overhead as this is part of the flight path out of LAX (Los Angeles Intl Airport). They are fairly high by that time and usually late at night. I really never paid much attention until lately.

This all started one day when, just on a whim, I did this visualization as one was flying over that I was a ball of energy, up at the jet level looking into the cockpit window. I imagined the pilot thinking to himself, "What the heck is that?"

I have always loved the sound of a prop-engine plane flying on a lazy sunny afternoon. It always struck me as odd that a mechanical device would have such a wonderful vibe about it.

This is the same phenomena only for me is a whole different sensation.

Anyone else ever feel this?

This vibration reminds me of some recordings that Hubble made in space flying over various planets and other bodies. Here is one example:

or this one:

They're actually electromagnetic waves converted into sound. Each planet is very different but these got me.

Now lately even the whirring sound of the DVR running at night reminds of something ...familiar and good.

What is this? It is the vibration of...what? The basic particles of the Universe? The Field? Going a bit too far now:rolleyes:

I would like to understand what this is though.

Haha, Isle Walker, you were a UFO! That's funny.

I grew up in a little tiny town in nc Pennsylvania and so often in the milder months, I'd lay out on our big flat side lawn and just watch the clouds go by, listen to souonds of nature (mostly) and every once in a while, a small plane would cruise far above and it was such a nice sound to hear the droning of that little bitty plane way up high.

Now, I live in a 'burb and just up the street is a muni airport so whenever I used to talk to my friend david (rip) over the phone, we'd joke and he would say oh, your rides there, it sounded just like the planes were going to land in my lap. so funny.

When I first came to CA, my then b/f would take me down to Aviation Blvd. where the big planes come in and have to put my hands on/in my ears if I could as we'd look up at the fence and see the gigantic belly of those planes as they came in for a landing. Seems I can't get away from planes in my life, even though the thoughts of those big disastrous crashes are in the back of my mind.

I think there's ever as much fascination with how things that weigh a few tons can get off the ground and the mechanics and how things work. just as we are fascinated with all the questions we have about the world of invisible stuff, spirits, god, etc. Maybe the fascination with those souonds come on the heels of getting involved in that Meditation Device...?

I live near an Airport. I loved it when ...hold on a minute...Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull shut down the noise for almost a week

So you're saying there is no love lost in NOT hearing them? I feel the same way about actual jet take-offs and landings. It's a damn loud thing. This is just that far-away deep rumble.

The deep rumble reminded me of a thread Alternate Carpark (AC) posted not too long ago with some links to Youtube meditation vids, one of his faves had that sort of thing ~ *

I know a lot of people use sounds when meditating. I've never wanted to. Can't stand to have the intrusioin of sound when I'm trying to think (or not think).

But this sort of causes me to go into some weird mode when I hear it--kind of like remembering a very moving dream.

Greetings..

As a pre-teen and up until moving away from my parents (at age 17), we lived about 4 miles North of the N/S runways at McCoy AFB (SAC).. there were B-52 bombers routinely taking off and landing, and the occasional 'scramble drills' where the base put all 70= aircraft in the air as quickly as possible.. at some point those very loud and deeply thunderous roars shifted from annoying to reassuring.. the rumbles were so intense that hanging pictures would fall, mom's plates would rattle, and when she was baking a cake.. well it was one of the few occasions for her profanity to surface.. but yes, there is something deep, visceral, and primal in those sounds of power, possibly recalling thunderstorms, volcanoes, and other natural expressions of power.. evoking a deep respect and awe for 'nature's way' (a great tune by 'Spirit' from the album, 'Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus', 1970, for you music buffs)..

Be well..

TzuJanLi--Perhaps it is a callback to nature. I'm almost feeling like it is something recalled from nighttime travelling (as in consciousness travelling). Maybe the physical body translation of moving through dimensions sounds like this?

I'm really reaching now!:icon_eek:

As we expand our consciousness we become more perceptive to many energetic things. We can have many affinities for things that are gateways for us energetically. You’re obviously very perceptive to plugging into sound.

Hi Lora: In the practices of meditation, when the stillness of mind happens and you have allowed yourself the freedom of releasing sub-conscious attachments, your awareness actively begins informing you of what is 'happening' throughout the Cosmos, while at the same time revealing the totality of the Cosmic Memory.. as your mind approaches stillness, your awareness is activating its Wholeness.. the sensation, in my experience, is a tangible physical vibration that is most closely approximated when i have experienced the deep and resonating chants of monks chanting Om or Aum.. or alternatively, when i have been at concerts (i worked with promoters), and sat on top of the big stacks of speakers (altered states of consciousness notwithstanding)..

Be well..

I was gonna mention chanting too. Some of the throat singing by Tibetan monks gets there too. Many people already use that for meditating (I don't really meditate per se, and I hate having noise in my ear) so I didn't want to bring that up.

Ah, the good ole days of loud speakers and altered states!:D

Hi Mattie!

If this is true it's a new development for me cuz I've been almost entirely visual until now!

I think what TsuJanLi said might be closer--it's analygous to how dreams are rough translations into visual form of energetic experiences our consciousness has experienced.

I think this is somehow a translation into sensations of something my consciosness has experienced recently.

Sincere thanks to you both.

Lora
