I have an idea that will go nowhere:
How about Tao fortune cookies? The fortune will be blank, except one side will be a little darker than the other side.

Haha! I like that idea, as long as the cookie part is delicious.

Does not the joy of taste indicate one is on the right path?...fear not to seek into the darker parts of the refridgerator in the depths of the night...a treasure awaits within...

Ever notice how that little swirl on chocolate creams looks like the yin-yang symbol?

I'd not be surprised if the orginal fortune cookies came from Taoists but Taoists hooked into older traditions and so, ...

Chocolate and vanilla go great together.

Thirty spokes converge at the hub,
but emptiness completes the wheel.

Clay is shaped to make a pot,
and what's useful is its emptiness.

Care fine doors and windows,
but the room is useful in its emptiness.

What is
is beneficial, while what is not
also proves useful.

Tao Te Ching, A New Translation by Tao Tzu

And does not the shape of the skull, the ears, the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the hair define the head of the student...yet, the important part is the emptiness there-in...

Rob

I was,
And I am
So shall I be to the end of Time,
For I am without end.
`Gibran`

Dogs are always howlin'
Cats are always yowlin'
But gibbons only
Like to sing and dance
Oop, oop, sh boop

You'll be like that monkey
Get a little funky
And in a while
Start to smile
Gibbon half a chance

Sell bags of Tao Fortune Cookies in stores and leave the fortune out.
Those that return the bag didn't get the message and need further instruction.

Those that eat the bag without returning it are true Taoists.

Or maybe it was the way around...

The silent Buddah with the crumbs on his robe is the Knower and the Future. She looks soooo much like Ms Hepburn....

The faces I see in the shadows of the curtains are silent. Perhaps because they know I won't listen to THEM, either.

Greetings..

The faces I see in the shadows of the curtains are silent. Perhaps because they know I won't listen to THEM, either.
The faces i see
are the faces of me
Exploring our infinity
We are many
And we are One
Figuring out
How it's done..

Be well..

Welcome to the club of those who talk.. I was channeling LT (Lao Tzu) the other day, and he said, "What the hell was i thinking when i wrote that line, i screw-up one line out of 5,000 words in 81 chapters, and that's the one line everybody remembers.. go figure".. he's got a point..

Be well..

I've always wished that gatekeeper hadn't asked him to write those verses...or, similarly, why did he agree to? (Didn't have toll money, I'm thinkin') It wasn't the beginning of the biggest misunderstanding in religion, but it has its moments. Of course, if this didn't exist, we'd probably have to be misunderstood in the Christian or Buddist forum or something.
