I love Shanti Shanti, but unfortunately they don't have a lot of music available to sample;

This from YouTube:

This from their site, a short sample of one of my favorite songs:

There are a few songs that communicate with me in a very deep way, for starters however, and as it's 9 minutes long I will submit this gem of a piece. It's called Song of Tears, composed by Karl Jenkins and performed by Adiemus.

I have always believed as young as I can remember that music heals your soul. When I listen to music or a melody or song that catches me I get certain feeling and fall right into it. I am extremely sensitive to certain beats, rhythms, and notes and I love it. My soul feels it.

Very nice! I actually have the short version of that song from their 'best of' CD, 'The Journey'. :smile: The long version definitely listens better!

Wow...so hard to pick, I just love the power of music and lyrics! Always a favorite and quick to bring a tear to the eye " What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, another great song is " I Will Fix You" by Coldplay. Such incredible talent and artistry for us to enjoy.

My mother sent me this song eariler today. She's from a family of Lutherans (Christians) and I, myself, is a Spiritualist (I'm the only one in my family) but she loves me regardless..Anyway She told me with all the hard times my family was going through this song really spoke to her and I have to agree that through all the things lately in my life and my families, this song speaks to me too...

So Enjoy :)

Once again composed by Karl Jenkins and performed by Adiemus is Tintinnabulum. i t starts as a requiem or lament and then it asks the listener to cease greiving and to accept the passing as a part of the tapestry of life, after the acceptence of the passing and re assurance that things are going to be OK it somewhat surprisingly ushers in the strength and glory of the tapestry of life in a kind of a second coming..

How best to sum it up... The Old King has died, The New King is arriving.

Don't worry about the Video so much , the music is that which carries the restorative power.

This isn't the most powerful song, however, it speaks to me, no matter how cliche that may seem. :o) Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat "Lucky" :D

Songs that have feeling in them. A lot of Pink Floyd, Take It Back, Wish You Were Here to name a couple.

A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum is one that stands out for me.

Rachmoninoff has been my favorite and everything by this new, to me, Adiemus!

No, I can't say that; so many were so good- but I forget their names!

Mine would have to be without a dout:

Tracy Chapman : The Promise

When i hear this song , it always think of the people whom have crossed over and are waiting for there loved ones to cross over too, and how they will wait for them................(i know that is not what the song is about, but it brings me comfort..to make it mean that)
