okay here goes, does anyone have visions

I will try and explain, when I go to bed I either see nothing (and fall asleep) or as soon as I close my eyes I go into a vision, its like an old black and white movie playing before my eyes, I can travel within this vision as if it is real, often I dont understand them at all, does anyone have this, can anyone throw any light on this with me

my last vision was: I saw a double bed, two people laying in it (wasnt allowed to see who) the room was happy I felt that emotion, then I looked down and was into another vision, waves gently lapping my feet I was on a beach, emptying someone ashes into the sea, again not allowed to see anything but what I describe, I didnt feel sad I remember that

can anyone help here, what are they?

hi, i have had several visions but only one in black & white, it was also played out like a quick movie. This particular vision was of myself a young child set in 1914 or around then & in this vision i was being abused by an older man who i sensed was my grandfather. In a sepatate dream my spirit guide came to me & told me that i had been abused in a past life & i was bringing issues from that into this life. Other visions that i have had are ones of passing on messages.sorry i cant help you but thought i would share mine with you.

Hi dark veil,

I have had many such visions much like yourself except mine are not black-and-white, rather, they tend to be shaded in a violet-purple colour. I can tell you that what you are experiencing is a form of clairvoyance. I too rarely understand them but much like ren05 has already mentioned, they tend to be visions of past lives.

Indeed, some describe clairvoyance has being able to see into other dimensions and times and it is also true that some of my own visions tend to be of places which do not appear to be set on Earth, in that they have a more surreal quality to them. However, these visions can also encompass current events happening on the other side of the world and even into the future.

For example, one particular night I was settling down to sleep ( it happens to me in the same manner it happens to you ) and all of a sudden an image of a volcano exploding ( shaded in violet-purple though ) appeared in my sight. I did not think much of it at the time as I did not know then what I know now. Anyway, the next day, I turned on the old teletext service and was very surprised to see on the News page that a volcano had erupted the previous night! As I say, that particular vision was a depiction of something happening somewhere else in the world.

I have to admit I do not often have these visions anymore as this was all some time ago but I have learnt much since then and I hope that reading this helps you in some way, Kundalini.

Dark_veil, I've been meditating for 55 years, and yes, I've had visions, although I seldom will think of them as anything more than "seeing things". I also hear voices, and have had one brief OBE. Keep in mind that while some people think otherwise, you aren't in a trance when you meditate.

Instead, you free your mind and heart/soul of worldly distractions, opening your soul/heart to receive "whatever" from your spiritual side within you. And I do believe everything we receive is already within us, in our soul, and not from somewhere beyond ourselves.

Howdy,

Ooo it's so controversial isn't it - whenever the phrase 'past life' is mentioned, people can get a bit wierded out - which is completely expected. You either believe in that stuff or not - either way is cool as far as I'm concerned. When I have these visions I firmly believe they are glimpses of past lives in which I have had issues manifesting and playing out in this life that need resolution. How do I rationalise this - well I feel the emotion of the moment that I am experiencing. It's not my mind imagining or making things up or just seeing things - the emotion is present within my body - of trauma, joy, or sorrow. If you are interested, read on, I will tell you of my first vision:

I was walking along a bright sunny lane. It was somewhere in the US. I was wearing a flowery dress with high lace-up boots. Seriously, it was like something out of Little House on the Praerie. I was carrying a bucket or a bag. As I came over the hill I could see the house I lived in. It had a high pointed roof and small windows - classic American architecture. But the door was black - not painted - it was a black hole - something evil was in the house. I went from feeling happy and contented to dread and fear. I did not want to go inside. In my vision I did not go in - but I knew there were many people inside and it was my job to look after them all. I was just a girl - barely a teenager in this vision. My feeling was of terror in this house, whoever I was looking after were not cool.

Now what the hell does this all mean? Who cares about any of this stuff? Well for me this was an important vision because it helped me understand myself now - in this life. I am incredibly independent. I do not socialise well with others. I am reserved and contained. I go to great lengths to keep people away from me. Part of my lesson in this life - which my vision helped me understand - is that a) one of the reasons for my isolating behaviour has its origins in the bad experience of looking after others who were not nice, and b) I need to resolve this trauma and learn to accept people into my life now.

This may all seem like a bit of a stretch, but for me, these visions are important teaching tools for the lessons I need to learn here and now.

Take care.

Hey Everyone,

I have also had visions, and having them is an amazing experience. I have learned so much from my visions, I also beleive we have them so that we could be taught how we can change situations in our life that is not helping our spiritual growth. also we can have them to be taught of mistakes of past lives, and even be taught in temples by divine beings.

My visions have not been very clear they are very hazy but the insight i get from these visions are truely amazing. Intuition is the key, we all have that intuitive side, which i beleive to be our higher conciousness/higher self. we can be warned if we are straying from our path, or even have that feeling of peace and understanding that what we are doing is absolutly right, WE KNOW WHEN WE ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH.

Have a great day/night..
