Has anyone read the "Night Threads" by Rue Emerson? They were published in the early 90's. The book discusses alternate worlds (common sci fi theme) and energy work. The energy work is done thru colored threads of energy that cris-cross the realm. Anyone who can see these threads (more easily visible at night -- hence the name) can manipulate these threads. The colors identify which form of magic or energy they have. Each thread has a specific vibration. One color heals, another allows the user to eaves drop on conversations, another will bring water. There are other colors, but it's been years since I read the books and I've forgotten a lot of them.
Anyway, the books have stayed with me in memory since I read them. I have often wondered if the planet's energy grid could be handled and manipulated in the same way?
