Eagles & Doves?

One of the last times I meditated I saw an Eagle & A Dove does anyone know what this means?
Also what other things you see mean?

Material world, this body, emotions, intellect are like ever-changing waves on the ocean of our reality. Visions and Symbols run little deeper than that but are also the subtle waves beneath the waves. Though their meanings are important in a personal way, they too are a superficial layer.

To meditate is to transcend even these symbols and visions into the deepest core.
