A few weeks ago my son brought a small green plant home from school. It was tiny when it first came home - less than 2 inches - but in the space of a few weeks it has grown to around a foot and a half tall so I've had to plant it in the garden. I'll try and add a photo but does anyone know what it might be? It smells incredibly sharp - the smell is still on my hands after washing - and it has pretty green pointed leaves all the way up the stem. I realise this could be any plant in a million but I'll try and work out how to add a photo.

My guess is a sweet potato or similar? I look forward to seeing your picture of it!

I've added but not very clear I'm afraid!

It stands straight so it's not a sweet potato like I thought maybe.
(Is it just the one plant, because the one in the red container looks almost just like the one in the center of the picture.)

Nope not the red one (although I don't know that one either but I know someone who does!), I mean the green one. Curious as it grew so fast.

It is hard to tell, I guess some sort of tree.

Hmmm. Maybe someone here will know what type it is. I've never known a plant to grow so fast, but then I don't know a great deal about them.

If you get a clearer pic of the leaves it could be easier to identify. If it is growing fast it could be a "weed."

Ok I'll go out in the garden tomorrow and post another pic of one of its leaves.

Not being a gardener of any type I have no clue but I hope you post more pics the more it grows :)

Thanks. She's called Harmony and only a few months old
Here's the pic of the plant in the garden. Shed any light at all?

I';m guessing no one knows what it is from the leaves? :icon_frown:

I'm not very familiar with trees 'n stuff in England. I'll google a bit though, it's made me curious.
