Wouldn't it be great if there was suddenly a huge surge in humanities social awareness? Maybe TV and the Internet are slowly creating such a surge? Who knows.

I'm a social creature by nature. I love people and good company and my friends and family. Social enough to be weary of solipsism and theories about I AM, which sounds kind of anti-social to me.

My preference would be for the Human Race to REALISE "We Are" and "God Is Our Father" rather than that we all turn introverted and start meditating and shunning each other.

I AM is a practice which does not advocate SOCIALISING or social contact or awareness.....which I find sad. One should dwell upon ones own inner divinity according to I AM and not on others divinity.

But that is by the way....

Social consciousness is a powerful phenomena. Like the Royal Wedding for instance. Just think of how many people tuned into their television sets to see a royal couple get married! Its phenomenal that a social occassion such as a royal wedding could generate such mania and delight....

The "power of the social mind"....

People love a good get together and SOCIAL OCASSIONS. High Society and living the dream...Amen.

It comes from practicing affirmations and positivity much like one would apply to oneself, but about other people instead.

"I Love People"

"People Are Great"

"We Are One"

"God Loves Us"

I've been thinking thoughts like that for years....I feel very positive at times.

This is very sweet Honza. I see this sort of mutual caring for others often extolled in Christianity and other religious faiths. This is why it bothers me to see Christians who are acting in a loving kind and tolerant fashion being bashed. I think this is equivalent to bashing gays, etc.

I myself don't label myself anything as I can't fit neatly into any belief system. However, I can "resonate" with the aspects of any religion which promotes love and a sense of responsibility to ourselves and others.

I agree we are social creatures and any worthwhile truth will be applicable to and/or found within connection and relationship.

As a society we are moving in the direction of being more tolerant, more cooperative, more loving. History demonstrates that. Obviously we have a ways to go, but evolution is definitely in that direction, so take heart!

Will the internet help this progression? I don't see why not. It isn't evolving human nature, it's merely facilitating communication but that can speed up the process.=)

Also, I believe that the individual within society can help society best by developing their unique gifts. Society can help itself best by encouraging the individual to find, develop and share their unique gifts. The sum of the parts are greater than the whole due to ongoing interaction and creativity.;) The individual is the key to expansion of consciousness within the organism of humanity.

I'm not sure... I like people, they're great... but there's complexities to it, and a lot of stuff I don't understand, because I have tried to have a good social life but I seem disfunctional there...

It get drummed in over the upbringing and my family was always against what I really wanted to do so I was left with the impression what I wanted to do wasn't acceptable to people and I became more reclusive... and eventually I lost the balance between introversion and extroversion... so what you posted in the OP is real good stuff Honza, very true to life.

Humanity's awareness has made enormous gains. This exponential surge has been occurring for quite some time & is currently very active. The current is not exactly an early stage of it.

Seems hostile towards meditation which many find very useful.

What is interesting is why how others deal w/ their spirituality is a concern that causes you weariness & sadness? One can simply skip over material that isn’t of interest or is about issues one has personally processed long ago.

Many have moved past the long-anthropomorphized concept of God being a ‘Father’ or either human gender or even a specific deity. What we call God is more of a partnership w/ the Universe than a parent-child relationship.

What works for one person may not be what works for another. At different points in our energetic/spiritual journey it is of the utmost importance to connect w/ one’s self. It is somewhat ironic that reuniting w/ the Universe entails going deep within, but this is an integral part of the process.

This I AM is often discussed because of the many who are currently awakening. The words I AM are the basis of manifestation & in establishing our energetic sovereignty. Connecting firmly w/ our core essence of self, then HS is the foundation we build on which we expand our awareness/frequency/consciousness.

Only when we establish our energetic sovereignty of I AMness can we move on to the more fluid creative concept of pushing out past our boundaries & becoming co-creators. Just as the process of achieving balance leads to merging, the I AM process of BEing leads to KNOWing which leads to the process of CREATING. These are all natural & vitally important stages of our growth.

I think you can hind behind what we call a social life, we cling onto whoever we can, too frightened to go within our own inner space and realize that we are all ONE, from there and only from there can we really be honest in our love for socializing with others.

Great post mattie. You made good sense. I shouldn't be hostile towards meditation/I AM. I just don't understand it fully yet.

I have decided to accept I AM and to start practicing some of its disciplines. I find it is helping.
