THat was a GOOd cocnert dude. Clapton and santana have such a good ear for music ( apperantly when clapton seen hendrix play for the first time, he thought " wow this guy is good, I cant even do that"), and can give ya goosebumps...

Heres the one that ALWAYS makes me think

One of the few songs that can bring me to tears, and makes me feel everyemotion at once....

THis was done one take, over a backing track. The Reverb effect was added after, as same with the talking at the beginning.

Andrea Boccelli live and Bonnie Rait live both blew my mind. I completely lost myself in both of those concerts.
Also I seen Celtic Woman live and on PBS along with Pink Floyd Australian Band and they both blew me away just hearing them for the first time on TV.
I couldn't get enough of them.........

This song, hits me hard when I hear it ( especialy with the whole album)

I seen roger waters live ( from pink floyd), and he did the entire dark side of the moon album. After time, and this song were over, theres a silence for a few seconds, and im pretty sure the 60 000 people in the saddledome all collectivly cried or shed tears at one.

Hi Time !! :color:

Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here ...... two musical masterpieces in my opinion.

Pink Floyd at their very finest ...... I wore the grooves out of both these albums as a young 'un, and still do the same with the CD's.

Floyd always manages to colour the mood of my day whenever I play them ......The Great Gig In The Sky is one of those very emotionally charged songs that lifts the soul ......

Shine On You Crazy Diamond is also excellent ...... Oh, if only I could play guitar like this ....... :hug3:

I'm pretty sure the deep purple link I posted was the original line up, and those hammond organs weigh a ton. John Lord actually stripped the external casing and unnecessary parts off his to make it easier to carry.

Dire Straits are one of my all time favorites and that album Love over Gold is wonderful.

I found a great acoustic guitar player named Lawson Rollins on u-tube.

There are alot of natives in my area. Unfortunatly there are few of them who are traditional. But once in a while you still hear random pow wows here.

You have to see one in real life. The drumming is so loud you feel it in your chest. And the singing carries for a mile or more. You actualy FEEL it. Imagine this being done by 100 people, and with the traditional dance.

It's emotional, exzillerating (that's how rockers spell).

The musician puts heart and soul into it until he just loses self consciousness, that's when the magic happens. The audience gets that... can feel it.

there is hysteria, like beever feveror, beatle mania was the same, elvis craze etc... so even superstars have hysteria... but that is different to the magic.

The magic is something that takes you away...

LOLOL. Actualy, im half native (iroquois ( mowhawk and onieda), some cherokee and something else ( although im white, my dads ukranian LOL)

Thats some REAL tribal music. How could you NOT get up and move to that kind of beat?

Music is truly a window into the person/peoples soul ( who made it). Music is almost purely emotional, the only other things that are close is sex ( pleasure and love) and art. A total release of inner feelings of the people performing it. Thats the real difference between " musicians " and MUSICIANS ( ill say all artistic expression) is the energy and soul they put into it themselves. Also a good reflection on that culture and how they percieve things. Its one of the most primal aspects of humanity... sitting y the fire banging bones together for a beat...

The understanding of time, ie keeping the beat is a facet that seperates man from the beasts and for the musician time is rhythm, not duration.

The trance evoked by the rhythm has no duration... it's just like pulse, one beat then the next beat and at some point it stops.

The manus drummers from Manus Island in New Guinea (in that clip) are the world's finest.

Culture is humanities uniqueness and as people adapt to their natural environment culture becomes as diversivied as nature... but now men conform to serve economy, and we adapt the environment instead of adapting to it... and I think the primary reason music is becoming so contrived is because it has conformed too.

Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant tide
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine.

And no-one called us to the land
And no-one knows the wheres or whys
But something stirs and something tries
And starts to climb towards the light

Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand the best I can

And no-one calls us to move on
And no-one forces down our eyes
And no-one speaks and no-one tries
And no-one flies around the sun

Cloudless everyday you fall upon my waking eyes
inviting and inciting me to rise
And through the window in the wall
Come streaming in on sunlight wings
A million bright ambassadors of morning

And no-one sings me lullabies
And no-one makes me close my eyes
And so I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky

I also like "Hello"

Oh my gosh, I love Evanescence. And I love Hello. It's so hauntingly beautiful. Gives me chills. At the end, when she says "all that's left of yesterday," that note that she holds out on the word day...oh my god. Gets me every time.

I also love Good Enough and The Last Song I'm Wasting On You. The other one I really love is Tourniquet and the transition of it into Imaginary. AHHHH sooooo good. lol I could go on and on.

Another great one! I love Jeff Buckley.

My favorite band (I think...how do you pick a favorite band??? So hard. But they're def at lest one of my favorites...lol) is Radiohead. They're so chilled and yet their music really moves. It grooves so well. I pretty much think that Thom Yorke can do no wrong. My favorite albums are In Rainbows and Kid A, although I sincerely love all of them. I'm trying to decide which song to even post!! There are so many good ones!! Hmmm...let's go with this one. This is one of my favorites on the album. (Although the whole freaking album is incredible.)

Shame light...would've been brilliant to see.
Yes the songs are haunting and last night is the first time I've ever watched the video clip to My Immortal. I guess we all tend to put our own interpretations to songs, but the video clip didn't match my own thoughts.

I also like "Hello" When I first heard it I knew it was first released in christian bookstores asa christian only album Fallen that is. I naturally assumed my imortal had something to do with jesus leaving. I took it that way and it was sad. Later i realized it was just about seperation relationship wise.

That's odd for Evanescence to be released in a Christian book store..hmmm..

Yes, it amazes me how we so easily conjure up our own images about what musical pieces mean...and we'd all have a different idea.
