Seems like all I do these days is help promote anti-government campaigns. Well, I will not apologise for that, we must protect our NHS before we are lumbered with an American-type system where cash rules. I received the attached yesterday. Please contact your MP and make them work for a living.

Dear Paul,

Thousands of us have taken part in the poll to decide what we should do next to save the NHS. That's brilliant - it means we've got a really clear plan for how we can step up the pressure.

One big thing we all seem to agree on is this: targeted pressure on each and every MP, from local voters, is crucial. [1]

A flood of emails from us could be enough to pursuade MPs to speak up, and tell Ministers to stop pushing these dangerous plans.

Click here to find your MP and ask them what they're doing to protect the NHS:

Our pressure has already pushed the government to announce a "pause" in their plans. But without more pressure, there's a risk that this will just be an exercise in spin. The government claims it is taking a "pause" and "listening", but a letter leaked to the Evening Standard shows that health officials have been told to push ahead. What kind of pause is that? [2]

Please email your MP now. Ask for a real rethink of the NHS plans, not just spin:

260,000 of us are now involved in this campaign - together we can win. Here are just a few of the reasons so many of us have got involved, taken from the poll:

"Without the NHS I'd be long dead by now!"

"I am so against these changes. I have written letters to the local paper, written to my MP and more. I am a retired GP"

"What I don't want when I see my GP is to see an accountant, who says 'couldn't you have a cheaper disease?' "

"Just keep up the pressure. I'm waiting for heart surgery so can only cheer you on from the sidelines."

"My wife works as a Nurse in the NHS and even though the Government are saying they are pressing the pause button at a local level changes seem to be continuing to roll on."

"It seems strange that I have wait 7 days to see my doctor but is he going to find the time to manage the NHS as well?"

Help build the pressure by emailing your MP now:

Thanks for being involved,
