Hello

Seeing Auras - What they Are - How to See

What is an Aura ?

We as humans have an energy signature that is unique to each and everyone of us. A Light if ye will. The colours and energies make us whom and what we be. Like a Mood Ring they change colours with how we feel and the state of being the body be in. Said they can be read to show when the body is entering into a state of ill health.

The Aura starts at the fist layer of the body. Few inches from the skin and goes around the full body. Head to toe. Starts out pale and projects outwards in a Rainbow of colours at times. More common are the Red’s and Whites, or Golden colours. One can have a barrier layer too at the outside like the wall of self protection we all have. That which keeps us in the physical plane, this can be Black even. Too these colours are tied to the Charka’s in balance.

In the images one can have taken for Aura Photo’s ( usually head and shoulders), can show colours very close around one or that blast off the photo frame. Matters not. Just is the state of the body a the time its taken.

If one gets Blue’s around them it is said one is highly spiritual and is someone that walks in trust. Oranges show emotions, Red’s love and affection, Green’s ties to the land, ect.

The best way and purest way to view an Aura is in the nudie state of being. With no cloth on to reflect light.

Often when one is near death the Light around them changes one might even see breakup in the energy field around them. Some say it be like Fireworks going off.

Why do we fail to see Auras

We try to hard. Its not the easiest thing to be able to read or even see. Often one tries to do it with another sitting there while one tries to see their Aura. When it might be better to try to start on one’s self.

How to see Auras ( some simple tips or tools )

* Soft lighting (not dim) . There are “Daylight” bulbs that are a blueish tinge that work well.

* hang or place something pale hanging in front of ye. A sheet ext.

* close your eyes and breath and relax

* when calm and relaxed open your eyes and look a bit sideways from the pale hanging

* this should feel like the state of day dreaming

* in time and with patients and practice colours will start to show.

* next step is to bring an object into the mix like a plant ( plants have an aura)

* sit and focus on the leaves or flower and relax and take in the energy

* moving past this step one can try an pet (best if they are sleeping) so no movement.

* then to a human subject

When one starts to feel the energies move then the colors will come in.

It's all about concentration. Just like moving a pendulum or actually feeling someones energy flow.

I learned a simple exercise here on this forum. All you have to get started. Is put your two index fingers touching each other. Gradually seperate the two fingers. You'll begin to feel your energy. Just like pulling two magnets apart. You'll also be able to observe a slight glow, kinda a misty appearance. That's your aura.

Are you sure about the soft light thing? I think it might depend on the person, because I see them best when it's so dark I can hardly see the actual person. Also, I still can't see my own, luckily, I have a friend who can sense auras fairly easily, though she can't see them.

This information was from an aura site (sorry, didn’t bookmark it) & it worked great for me. A woman out west (US) described how the tree energy fields were sooooooo pretty when she was viewing her native spiky evergreen trees. I figured if she could see them so could I!! Someone else on the site noted that the hardest energy field to see is the human aura, particularly one’s own. Practice first w/ tree energy fields at a distance. Work up to seeing tree energy fields increasingly closer. Look past them in a sort of unfocused manner.

When I began to experiment w/ the site’s suggestions I had believed in human auras & energy meridians & unseen spiritual-type energies for decades, so I didn’t really care if I saw the tree energy fields or need seeing them to validate my long-held beliefs. Not being overly invested in this experiment probably helped. It was just a fun little energetic exercise. During my regular walk at a local park I gazed at the distant tree line & did an affirmation, ‘Your eyes can see it. Let them.’ (Not from the site.). When others weren’t nearby I said the affirmation aloud as this helps imprint in on the subconscious.

In about a month I began to see an area above the trees that was somewhat wavy, slightly visually disturbed, like looking through very old glass. Of course, I wondered if I was just imagining it. In another month distinct energy fields had emerged that were clearly not my imagination. They gently & rhythmically pulsate & can be whitish or a clearer version of the sky, extending upwards from the trees in varying levels of strength.

At first it was easiest to see the tree energy fields when standing still. Now i can easily see them when walking or even driving (passenger) 70 mph on interstate. It was interesting & quite a surprise the first time I was driving & the tree energy fields I was used to seeing at the park popped into view! One can hone this ability by doing things such as when riding as a passenger where trees are on both sides of the road, bring the energy field of both tree lines into focus at once. This is a little more difficult than viewing each one separately. The passing tree energy fields will sometimes look like faint like smoke wisps.

Small flying birds, airplanes, & strong cumulus clouds soon began to have the same type of energy field. At times, when seeing this new energy environment objects seemed to have an appearance like they were almost cut-out objects, similar to how a TV picture looks if the contrast is turned up too high. This ability broadened over the next several years to include many other objects including the profile of cities & buildings. All pyramid shapes seem to have a very strong energy field as do skyscrapers. Sometimes the air outside has been energetically thick w/ many 1000s of little sparkles & had a depth that is not typical. I don’t know if this was a high energy day of some type or my being able to connect well energetically those days.

Over time it became easier to see the aura on myself & others even though this is still harder than seeing it w/ trees & other objects. Practice on seeing others’ auras when wearing sunglasses & stalled in a checkout line at the market! Unexpectedly, a few years after this initially emerged the ability to see distinct active energy fields in internet photos evolved. When this emerged I wasn’t trying to see energy fields. These include people & objects, but not all people & objects.

Certain backgrounds can be conducive to seeing auras. What works for one person may not be what works best for another. One background that works well for me is a highly colored wall w/ a sponged, mottled surface. Black backgrounds can also be effective. Experiment & see what works for you.

It is useful to remain very relaxed about this & not put pressure on one’s self. It is always more productive to gently relax into these energetic things rather than trying to press it too hard. KNOW this will emerge for you. As w/ all manifestations, they are most effective when putting it out there, then completely letting it go w/ as little attachment to the outcome as possible. Of course, remove any doubts that you can see it or need to be some type of energetically advanced or trained person to do so as these will be potent limitations.

We all have our own personal abilities that are our gateways into perceiving energies. Some see them while others sense them in other ways.

What backgrounds are optimum can also vary considerably. Use what works best for you.

Why do we fail to see Auras

We try to hard. ...

It is of the utmost importance to be relaxed & laid back. It's a hard balance between being excited about exploring new energetic territory & not trying hard too hard do so.

For me to actually see the auras, I have to be relaxed and not thinking about them. If I focus on it, I can see energy outlines only. Several nights back, I was in the family room reading and my daughter was finishing up homework in the living room. She came bouncing into the family room to announce she was done. She was giggly and bouncy. As I sat there asking her if she was finished and I saw a band of orange and red around her.

I have to focus very hard on them, but at the same time not think about anything, and blink as little as possible, 'cause it tends to distract me. But, when I do see auras I see the color as well a the nature. (e.i. glowing, flaring, sparking, ect.)

I'd love to see auras. I have gotten my aura read before and it was very accurate. I feel I am capable of it, I just need patience. Anyone know where they sell it? :laughing8:

I was seeing them as a child but did not know what they were. I just thought everyone had a glow around them and assumed everyone could see them. I knew when my teachers were in a bad mood because they had a black line around their glow. I never told anyone because I thought they were like rainbows, and everyone knows what those are.
Later, I didn't notice them as much. But a few years ago I was in a Ghost-hunting group and there was a was Medium there. She started talking about "energy" and the chi, then suddenly started blinking in and out of my vision. She had a green gold light around her wrapped in a black thread. I thought something was wrong with my eyes, but no one else was doing it so I thought, oh, well, I'm seeing auras again! I emailed her later to see what was going on. I finally got a message saying her father had passed and she was in the healing stages but still sad.
I was later at a meeting with a Wiccan group, and the HP had a purple glow on top of her head. I told her what I'd seen and she laughed. She was also a "Reiki" Master! So she knew all about auras and chakras.
I guess the best way to see them is to meditate as much as possible and try to send different colors of light to people for what they need. Look up Chakras and send the appropriate color light. Hopefully you will begin to see them. As the previous poster said, nature radiates an aura. Just look at plants and trees every morning and tell us what you see.:hug3:

Yes soft lighting is a help. Auras are low intensitiy. Infact they kinda look smokey. The other day after I had worked out. I was sittig in a hot tub or just relaxing. I was able to see mine without too much difficulty.

When I went to the gym today. Besides doing my physical work out and looking at the colorful bodies there. I also practiced seeing other peoples auras. I think I checked 5 people and I was able to tune myself into seeing their auras.

The more you do it. The easier it becomes.

When i try to see the aura's of things, all I get is a outlining of the object I'm looking at, extending about two inches from the object itself
.(The size of it varies if the object is living or non-living. Usually, non-living items have a small out-lining , and things that are alive have a bigger outlining.).

The outline is usually a pale , lighter color than it's background. Like a luminescent pale gray.

I'm not sure if this is what I'm supposed to be seeing.

because I used to stare at things in an unfocused manner as a kid.

To end up seeing these blurry,, so it may just be my eyes playing a joke on me.

I would like to say, it is the exact opposite of concentration. You probably see energies all the time, when you are staring off into space without blinking, you just don't notice it or dismiss it as seeing random things because of staring too long.
It is actually quite easy and simple to see auras. All you have to do is unfocus your eyes. It is the opposite of concentrating to see something, in this instance you are actually not trying to see anything, just letting your vision become gentle. You do it easily when daydreaming, staring off at a wall when you are relaxed or tired.

It also helps to get the feel of unfocusing, to stare at an object behind an object. For example, right now i am staring at a landscape, behind a door, it naturally relaxes the eyes, and sort of blurs them into not focusing.

Also, when you try to see auras, don't expect something bright and huge and flamboyant. They are translucent clear colours, at first they may appear as white orbs around the object, or person, you may think at first, your sight is just blurry. And as soon as you blink when you see something, it might go away if you are just beginning. If you have gotten a clear image, you can also take a snapshot in your current vision. Which basically means, once blinking, you will see the aura sort of imprinted on your eye, everywhere you look for awhile, which is great, because then you have more time to look at it.

It also helps to have a white background so nothing else in the background gets in the way. Or a dark background. I see energies and auras easily at night. You may also want to try staring at the sky on a nice day. You can see lots of interesting energies up there, it is beautiful.

On another note, when you look at pictures of all the layers of auras, as far as i know, the human eye can only see the first layer of colour. The aura actually has many layers of different colours. But i'm pretty sure we can only see the first? At least i have read that, and have met many individuals who report the same, and i can only see one layer as well.

Just practice, and you will see 'em!

I can only see it if I sit still, concentrate, let my eyes go "out of focus" and look "past" the person for a long time, like a minute, then my eyes hurt and I'm forced to blink. I'm wondering if there are people who can see auras instantly without blinking, I'm sure they are...I can see thin white lines easily, but with color it takes the previously mentioned method of me staring with dry/irritated eyes. :) Good luck on other people's practicing. I'll start to get more into meditating to help me more.

I believe everyone can see auras, but from birth we are taught to ignore this information. I think females are more apt to read auras because feminine emotion and intuition has been allowed more by society. If you ever get a weird feeling about someone and don't know why, I think that is part of you reading their aura.

Despite myself having some "psychic" ability, I cannot just "see" anyone's aura. I feel it before I see it. I have never needed to "see" it. Though recently I have tried to practice seeing them with my actual eyes, with some success. It would also appear that the more you practice, meditate and learn to focus, the easier it is to see a person's aura accurately and quickly.

We live a modern life that is very hectic, everything is rushed, we think of so many things at one time, it's hard to concentrate. I think concentration, will, intention, focused on one thing is what will cause a person to see an aura. But if there is negative in you, and you don't think you'll see one, you'll never see one.

I might be able to explain this aspect of seeing an aura better than some people. If you are negative and doubting, it goes much deeper than surface level. And inside of much that is doubt, there is fear, and if you are truly afraid at the core to see such things, you will not see them. Though, it is hard for many people I have known to learn themselves and their fears to this level, you have to be completely open minded.

I never said you have to believe in everything anyone has ever said, but you do have to keep the possibilities open that these things do exist, and also that you may be very wrong about yourself and the world.

Most people are looking for hope, looking for happy things in life. If things are negative, we would rather not look, rather ignore them, even at the detriment of ourselves and loved ones. If you want to see that idea playing out on a grand scale, read the book Predators by Anna C. Salter, Ph.D. The facts and figures of how many sexual predators are out there, how many child molesters, killers, and rapists actually exist, and more frightening, how many actual victims they amass, you'll understand that most of the time, most of us WANT the wool pulled over our eyes. To see the ugliness outside, means admitting the ugliness of the self, just as to see auras, it may change how you perceive and interact with the world to a level that is too disturbing for you to accept.

Since I got out of a dark period in my life over 8 years ago, I've seen what I believe to be energies, still trying to figure that out though. However, I believe I can see auras and am looking forward to trying this. Excited actually. So I'll need to calm down a bit lol.

How is it possible to see you own aura? Do you need to look in a mirror?

I think a very simple way to do this that my psychic friend told me was to take a while peace of paper put a dot on it. Place someone had next to the dot and focus in the dot but see there hand in your periferals (i cant spell it lol) soon focus on the outside on there hand. Take your time no rush and you may see a color appear to radiate from their hand. It won't be very vivid at first but with concentration and practice you will see this better!

I find that I best see auras when I am tired and not as alert as usual which is in line with the others remarks about being relaxed. I would say I am not an expert in seeing auras, but I generally see outlines with flashes of colour around the person. I tend to "feel" the aura more the I "see it"....just to throw something different in!

I see auras when i am most relaxed or tired. i see them as an energy fiel of atransparent colour around animate or inimate objects. only under certain conditons I am able ot see a faint colour in this energy field.
I however sometimes see a brighter colour or more colours around people in my minds eye. I cannot validate if this is true or just random imagination.

ive seen auras mainly when im sat in meetings (boring ones) ha ha. its when i relax my eyes alittle and i just go round the room and all i can describe it is you know on a hot day when you see heat coming off the road, its abit like that around peoples head and shoulders - i cant manage colours though i only get yellow (sometimes with a hint of pink) but never anything else.

Hello,
I am training to see my self Aura in the mirror everyday. First day I was so scared as I saw an angry face and then another face, I dropped the exercise thinking I am disturbed as I was tired that day. Second day the same and so many other faces completely new to me and it went on for days and i was not scared any more. Now its become very interesting for me and I do it everyday.

I tried it today after meditation (and having a dream the prior night of seeing someone's aura). I was successful in gaining progress in meditating as far as actually relaxing and grounding myself.

This time it started with the heat haze, then the bluish white glow (alternates blue and white it seems). But this time I kept at it and the blue turned brighter and looked almost turqoise. It was so brilliant and bright and eminated further out from me than just an outline. That's as far as I got.

And it seemed to be on only one side of my head. But if I shifted my eyes to just above my head I could see it slightly. If I moved my eyes to my forehead (3rd eye area) I could see the outline again all around, but whenever it starting turning turquoise and bright it was never on both sides of my head at once.

I found a rather good method a couple years back. I do not know the site :(, but the technique is simple.

What you Will Need
1. Colored paper any color you choose, try not to pick black or white as they are more neutral harder colors to see in my opinion.
2. A good background i find a white wall or sheet or anything white.

Method
Unfocus your eyes upon the paper it is eaiser to do a reading like this, because there is a strong color upon a neutral background. If you pick red you are most likely to see a stong green aura appear. If you choose yellow a red aura is likely to appear. Just try to relax and just unfocus on the edge of the paper. Hope this helped.

Peace,
Grim

It depends how you "see" them. Ever since I started a spiritual path and started developing, I've sensed them and became more sensitive. I'm recently learning to see with the Third Eye.
Anyways, to see them physically for me, I need to be comfortable and kinda relaxed. In a good mood basically. It's a lot easier to see them if the light isn't directly on the object And if the background is white. Once you've established this, relax your eyes and look around the head (if you're reading a person). You should see an outline, glow, color, ect. I only see the etheric double, and the first few layers of the aura.I'm still developing so I most likely have more in store.. lol.
Be Blessed xx
