Visualize in your mind what you want to see. Be very specific.
Draw a picture of what you want to see. Be very specific.
Feel what you think you would feel if you saw one. Feel this each day for a few minutes as if it has already happened.

This technique of visualization worked for me.
Blessings, James

Remember, these are not divine creatures. They are part of this natural Earth and mostly do not fit the appearance that many people expect. They are Nature Spirits.

At the risk of sounding dumb, because I try to see them too, as I could live in a tent in the woods with a waterfalls near, I adore nature so much, but is it in the rocks near the falls, sort of smiling? I searched, I kept looking at the water, but then the face and body on the rocks stood out to me. Maybe it's not what you are seeing, but I thought it was cool. :-)

Its true, Sarian, people see different things. There are faces in the rocks but, to me, it's the spirit in long flowing robes in the waterfall itself :D
Let me show you another water pic

Now this is, again, in my patch in Northern England in Malhamdale. This one is called Janet's Foss [Foss is an old Viking word meaning "waterfall"]
The legend goes that Janet was a witch who lived in a cave behind the falls. She is clearly seen standing in the centre of the water :D However, take a good look around in the rocks and surroundings too.

i once had eaten some wild mushrooms that grow near my house in october. these mushrooms used to make me see the world very differently. one time i was walking near a river through some light woods and i was set upon by a group of faries. they flew around me making me laugh out loud. i saw then that the faries were just common flys but what i never realised was that commom river flys did always have magic and beauty. all these years my eyes were only trained to see the ugly side of life and miss all the natural beauty.

Exactly ! Now is it real or just a trick of the light ?
You might like to try this yourself. Take photos of waterfalls, rockfaces and the like and then go looking. :D

LOL, thanks and I did see them both in both pictures. Pretty neat. I think I was looking for something small myself! I have thousands and I mean thousands of nature pictures, some day i'm going to go through them and study. Very fascinating.

wow.. that is amazing....i've always seen figures like this while going through many different things in nature.. but i thought it was my imagination all along...so you are saying that it's not my imagination, but a real fairy?

a real fairy ? - now that's a difficult question. There are spirits of Nature that our ancestors have known for milennia, they are part of our folklore. When the tribes first came to Britain, this island was a scary place - endless forests inhabited by wolf, bear, and wild boar AND the Green Spirits [spirits of nature]. Our ancestors knew that these powerful spirits could be friendly or malicious and so had to be offered respect and gifts, usually by the tribal shaman. These spirits would choose to show themselves or not as the mood took them. Different people saw different things and so the mythology grew - elf, fae, goblins, trolls, the whole box-full. They were given names like Rob, Hob, Robin Goodfellow and became part of our longest lasting legends e.g. Robin Hood, the Green Knight in Arthurian legend, etc.
All I am saying is that you have seen something in my photos and interpreted it as a figure which is real to you [and other people]. Just enjoy the experience and know that you are seeing what your remote ancestors would have seen :D Perhaps it is a sign of sensitivity on your part.

I see two faces in the rocks at the top of the waterfall- one looking directly at us-- :-)

What a beautiful Waterfall and reservoir too, I might add! I'm keeping that area in prayer for future protection from man- and am also going to use your photo as a desktop wallpaper... it's so beautiful! It goes with alot of the Wincustomize Windowblind Skins I'm downloading.

hugs and have a nice Easter dear Norseman

omg, I just saw another face (smiling too) at the top of the ledge near the trees in the photo! In the upper middle --toward the right of the waterfall.

Here is another challenge for you all. It is a short video I took in the "haunted wood". You will need to use "pause" frequently to see Tree, Water, and Stone nature spirits.
How many can you find ?
