Christopher Columbus discovered the pineapple. As soon as Christopher Columbus step foot in the new world he identified an economic product that he could use to develop the new land that he had found. It was so sweet, and juicy, in the hot sun, and it was the type of fruit that could survive the long journey back to Europe. Christopher Columbus realised that if he could get all of these Natives running around in the woods picking up pineapples for him, then he wouldn’t need to be getting grant money from the Queen of Spain to finance his boats. All the Upper Class from all over Europe would pay big dollar just to get a chance to taste a pineapple. With his further voyages paid for Christopher could take a side journey and maybe find another island, maybe eventually make his way to China and start selling them pineapple too. Christopher Columbus discovered the pineapple.
