As old as everyone else perceived you to be? My grandma thinks she's 4 sometimes but theres no way anyone else would say she was under 80.

Philip

the age I am now -- which is, of course.....................................

ETERNAL

therefore I am no age at all.

But Philip, if you don't know how old you are, how could you possibly know that you are Eternal? Just wondering. Based upon your original question, I'd think the only accurate answer would be I Don't Know.

Bit facile tiltjlp. In the words of my old headmaster; "could do better" :-)

if one did not know how old they were, would that change their actual age? does ignorance change truth????

Of course it wouldn't change a person's age. But if they didn't know their age, they couldn't very well say how old they were. And it's probably just a lack of knowledge than ignorance. Me, I'd still want to turn 60 next month. I like who I've become.

true tiltjlp. anything said would just be a guess. as far as desire is concerned, i wouldnt change my age for a second. i cherish my experiences and look forward to growing and learning.

by the way....
ignorance[ig-ner-uhns]

Yeah, you're right. And I'm a writer and editor, so I know better. I spend way too much time online.

Hi,
In reply to the question " How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"

Answer: You would be as old or young as you feel.

Also, that is what I class as a retorical question, the answers are infinite.

Saw this once on a notice board:

A fly is old in 24 hours
An oak tree takes 100 years to grow
And you, so young,
in the light of Eternity...

How old would i be, if I didn't know how old I am?

hmmmm.... i'd just be me... whatever that is...

:D

Greetings..

The question is a bother to those of us that have let go of that useless piece of baggage.. how old i am is of no consequence compared to the questions like:

What am i?

Why am i?

Why do people consistently convolute the utterly simple process of Living?

Be well...

I guess I wouldn't be sure. There are times I feel much older than my 22 years in this lifetime. Sometimes physically I feel like I'm an old woman, sometimes mentally I feel wise. Other times I feel young and carefree, but then very sheltered and unknowing of some obvious things.

Sorry guys, you are neither eternal nor ageless in the absence of knowledge of your age. You simply don't know. It's like saying I have infinite intelligence if I don't know what my IQ is.

Koans require us to focus on the great enigmas of the universe. I'm not convinced this qualifies.

LOL.. The beauty of it is that your version of your reality has no impact on mine.. i Am eternal and i AM ageless, even though i am temporarily using this body to express myself.. it seems that you may consider this temporary manifestation as a finite expression of "you", good luck with that..

As for Koans, another contrived ritual that only distances us from our true nature.. suggested reading: "Tao, The Watercourse Way", by Alan Watts.. Koans administered by a Master have nothing to do with YOU.. you are simply buying their version of "what IT is"..

Be well..

Age is just a number.
I dont care to be 10 or 50....it doesnt matter. What really matter is to enjoy the very moment you are in right now
