They sell a ton of them on Amazon; all different kinds. I have a standard one no whistles and bells.

Which do you use? Obviously you wouldn't use it if you didn't feel it was accurate but has it worked well for you?

Well, I experimented in the past with my iPhone's Voice Memos app, which produced some interesting results. Overall, I believe that the default recording app should work just fine.

I suppose a smartphone would work. I had some good results using a video camera that has uses internal memory similar to a smart phone. I had no results with my older video camera that used Hi8 tapes.

What technique do you use and where do you usually try to capture them? I might try and post some here.

I have a program on my pc that i think i got a response but i am looking for some program for my new phone. Also got a program were you can see the sound waves and i could see there is something there.

I use wavepad from NCH to review my session. What program do you use?

I am em-barest of my voice and questions as i am very new at this :)

I usually use Audacity but I've used wave pad in the past. Unfortunately, both programs the sound wave graph of most of the EVPs are indistinguishable from the back ground noise. I have to listen to the entire recording or risk missing them.

You could run audacity on a lap top with external mike.

Audacity is easy to use but like most things it takes a little time to become familiar with what it offers.
