My favourite is 'here comes the sun'. It reminds me of a friend of mine who committed suicide a few years ago.. he loved the Beatles.

Tough question! some favorites: All You Need is Love, Across the Universe, In My Life, Revolution, their version of Twist and Shout, Something, Tomorrow Never Knows, and there's more too if I could think of them, I'm sure.

If I had to name a "best Beatles song", it would be a tossup between "Eleanor Rigby" and "A Day in the Life", if I had to name my favorite, it would be either "If I Fell" or "Yesterday", but if I had to name the one I like to sing the most, it would be "Oh, Darling" or maybe "Nowhere Man".

Can you tell I'm a fan.

I feel the same way, slice, they're ALL my children, omg. My prime youth years spent in the basement rec room putting on the records and singing along, even when one of their more remote songs come on, I know the words, they just all too fantastic. From the lighthearted bouncy tunes to the romantic to the just plain weird.

In My life, Here, there, everywhere (I think that's the name). When they parted, some of my favorites with them singular are "The Long & Winding road" that one reduces me to tears...I love most of George Harrison's songs, "Isn't it a Pity"...wow, there's more but my mind just went blank. It's going to drive me nuts trying to remember...sigh... ah, "Give me Love"...still thinking...

The ballad of John and Yoko... love this too. :-)

Trust me, none of us can!

I tell you one thing right now, I'd be rich if I'd known --- I had stacks and stacks of bubble gum pictures of the fab 4, but gave them away or who knows what, dang!

Of course all the records too are long gone, sheesh. Any other would-be richies?

I don't blame you.
I mean didn't we all spend a large part of our teen years in the rec room or wherever playing them over and over until we knew them by heart, exactly like the hymns in church ~ the Beatles were our lives, I can speak for myself anyway, lol.

What an incredible thread. Look at the diversity. So many different favourites. Most bands have one fabulous song and then everything else is mediocre. So we all love that one song.

But goodness gracious me. This thread tells me that the Beatles were something very special.

'And I love her' is my favourite.

This is my favourite cover of a beatles song, I think they actually made it better than the original.

There's something a little bit off on this recording though, the one I have on CD is much better, there is more happiness in the lead singers voice and a better quality to the recording and instruments.

I have a very special relationship to Here comes the sun. It reminds me of my brother in my spiritual theosophical family. I sent him super trouper with ABBA when we first met online, because I felt so so tired of people, ( I got autism and was a wreck at the time) and he sent me this song as a response.

Magical Mystery Tour. To me, this seems like the quintessential Beatles song. The drumming, the playfulness, the Scouse accents, the psychedelia, the random subject matter, and the colours of the single and album’s artwork.
